Greetings all, just have a little update here.  So far we have over 20 players signed up PEDAR or Venezuela for this event, which means over 30 players in planning to be in attendance at this point.  I know October is still a ways out for many of you, please get your RSVP in as soon as you can though.  AEX will be supporting this event with some free gear, and we will need to share the headcount with them a few weeks before the event so they know what level of gear support to send.  Additionally, if the event pulls in too many players we may have to alter some of the rules, plans, etc.

Also, please plan on bringing your ID.  If the chrono marshalls do not recognize you and know your age they will ID you.  You must prove you are over 18 in order to take to the field with no restrictions. If your under 18 you will be required to wear a full face mask and may have additional requirements based on age.  Please see:

Thank you all for your support.

We stole the Eagle from the Air Force, the Anchor from the Navy, and the rope from the Army. On the 7th day, while God rested, we overran his perimeter and stole the Globe, and we\'ve been running the show ever since.

Hi madcatjoe!  Woodland MARPAT would be mapped to the PEDAR team as 'other camo'.

Venezualans are solid US woodland
CIA are PMC/SOG/Contractor costumes
PEDAR are any other camo to include various flavors of tans, MARPATS, Multicam, ACU, and Woodland DPM etc

This is probably the last event DH will host that allows a 'mutt' uniformed team.  In the future we will be putting more emphasis on faction impressions, which some applaud and some are not so happy with...

Great question BTW!

Be sure to RSVP using the link!

ok, thanks for that info.
about the MARPAT: considering that woodland and woodland marpat are so close, that may cause confusion, being that they are on different teams...

the fog of war can be a bii-atch...  :)
I'm pretty sure the guys picked the US Woodland based on the inclusion of a Venezuelan force.
but it might be worth considering wearing something (if possible) that doesn't look like it so that you don't get shot by your own guys if you're on the PEDAR force.
I guess thats just kind of the way it goes. if you look at pictures of whats going on in Georgia right now both the Russians and Georgians (who actually have some MARPAT) have different camo in pretty much every pic you see.
I totally understand where you're coming from tho madcatjoe but I think its what the guys have decided on.

i completely understand. i, not the game organizer, so ok. but im just used to "green vs tan" or similar games, and the allow alot more flexibility
but its your game, no problem. i will be showing up in marpat either way, if i go. i wear nothing else, no matter what. except sometimes a flightsuit... but even then i have a marpat helmet cover
now, what is the terrain like? are greens better than tans?

guess you could consider it part of the challenge trying to figure out who is friendly and who is OPFOR.
I don't anticipate a whole lot of other people showing up in anything else that looks like US Woodland except maybe you and your friends so you should be OK.
the CIA should just be wearing ballcaps, cargo paints, shemaghs etc. basic odd-ball stuff that should be easy to distinguish from US Woodland.
and the PEDAR guys will be in Tan stuff, Multicam, ACU etc. which should all be easy to distinguish from US Wood except the few players in Woodland MARPAT like yourself that we'll have to watch out for.
and finally the terrain at SASCO is varied... obviously anything Tan would be good to wear but there are some wash areas with trees and large bushes and all this really green night shade vine crap that grows out there. all the rain we've been having should also help a little with the green factor.
here's some pics from a game we did out there last year that should give you an idea about what kind of terrain is out there- http://www.bemasher.net/gallery/index.p ... mpage%20II
