do we need to sign up with a team or can we come and then join one
You need to sign up with one of the factions BEFORE the event, sooner is better then later. If you have no team or no 'group name' that you and your buddies want to use just leave the team section blank. Before the event we will go through the roster and create 8 to 10 man squads and elect a squad leader for each squad. We will try to place all players from a team or 'group' together so you play with your friends when we build the squads. Squads will be announced with your intel packs via email before the event so you have time to do some planning/recon etc.
Walk ons are strongly discouraged for this event, we are aiming for something more organized and milsim then we have done in the past and allowing recreational players that show up when they want and leave when they want detracts from that experience. Its fine to sign up now and bow out the week before due to other things coming up, but not signing up and then showing up makes it hard for us as planers to plan out the event, so please pick a faction and sign up.
