Exploding BB's
« on: July 18, 2008, 01:55:36 PM »
I think the newest thing will turn out to be exploding bb's because they only explode on impact with a hard surface but in AZ its a no go maybe in a lush wet forest somewhere but not here

Yeah... Umm.. Exploding BBs isn't such a great idea... I know someone that had to have pieces of a BB extracted from his face because the BB shattered inside the barrel.

Considering what 400 FPS is capable of I'm not sure I'd qualify that as a thought.

If you're thinking about frangible BBs, then I think we might be a ways away from that. Still though I think the biggest problem is stopping them from blowing up in your barrel.

if its what i think he means, there are some things you can get in New Mexico that when you throw them on the ground they explode but more violently than those paper ones, they are about 8mm, think, a 3 shot burst of those out of a marushin m500, sweet. [smilie=armata_pdt_28.gif]
