Well...  it reeks because for years before you came along many of us already viewed this sport as a LEGIT sport.  Many of us have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars to attend national level events located at various active military bases in the US.  Sounds pretty legit to me...

We also had the opportunities to spend time with documented and publicized military heroes spanning back to the Vietnam War.  Rangers, PJ's SF, even foreign operators.  Legit ?  I think so.

Plus some of us have done this shitt for real.  Thats legit any day of the week.

Basically all you are proposing is a paintfuckingball game using airsoft guns.   There is a general distaste and distrust of paintballers around these parts... and well earned too.

So there is nothing "other" about this level of which you spew.  Paintball has been around mucho tiempo my friend and what you are talking about is nothing more, even with your CQB "matches."

After you have kicked in doors at Zussman or the ranges at Ft. Hood, CQB "matches" sounds like a buncha bullshit.

So you are not the first "association" here in AZ or even the first to raise this line of stink.  s***, even MMA was around long before you guys (sorry Dust, no bad intentions).

Basically you have a semi-interesting web site (that copies information from other places) and a few people.  Cool.

Now, and this is the important part....  STFU and come to some of the AA events, attend a national event or two, EARN some street credibility, learn something, and THEN start your speedball society .... airsplat or whatever.

You are a novice and should spend much less time yapping.

But whatthefuck would I know anyway....

Don't know but this whole thing reeks of arrogance.  And that's the best way I can describe it in one word.

i dont see where you get that idea..
all we want to do is make this game into a legit sport. theres no arrogance in that, no pride, just a few friends that love the sport and want to see if there are others like us.. thats it. i can tell you this with certainty, A3 WILL be the 1st major association that will take this sport in arizona to a whole other level.. we have contracts with property owners to use vacant grocery stores to hold indoor, close quarter matches! all reproduction of houses, labs, bases, whatever!

but we cant hold the matches unless we get other teams involved. anyway, i was hoping that this topic would peak the interests of the players that have had trouble finding venues for matches and would like to be apart of this movment.. i guess its not for everyone in the sport, but we are hopfull

EVA/ALPHA

wow... i see the arrogance now.. well i guess im sorry for trying to improve the sport in the east valley..
you know its guys like you that make it hard for new comers to play the game mainly because they dont feel that they fit in because they didnt serve..
when i ment legit im talking more than what happening in arizona which is nothing.. sure you can go to cali or colorado but what about my state..our state??
you got me all wrong.. but who can really reason with an un reasonable man.. sorry, but my intention was not to flare up your....arrogance. i thought WE where all on the same page as honorable players.. guess not.

Maybe if you take all the corperate paointball bullshit out, it might not be so bad. Im all up for some kickass CQB but a 2k prize? No! This isnt paintball! I can see my whole school joining this, just to not call their hits!
i hear you on your concern about the prize, but that was just an example.. the purpose for this topic was to get your input and so far everyone sees the problem in the cash prize, Alpha team has met tonight to talk about the issue and we agree with you guys against the prize due to honor issues.. but that dosnt change much.. thanks for your REASONABLE responce.

Alright, slow down.

I just want to give you a heads up EVA_ALPHA since you are new here. There is not a whole lot of emphasis on teams as much as getting out to the games that are developed here on the boards. There are some groups that grouped together and do practice and play together, but the majority at the games is probably not associated with a team.

The way your post came across sounds similar to paintball, I don’t know if it is because I have not seen how you guys put it together, but that is how it is sounding and there is a big difference between the two groups, airsoft and paintball, and that is why you are getting some resistance there.

As Doc pointed out, there are organizations that elevate the scene, look up the Lion Claws series. That is the basic overall style that is played here, milsim events, not competitions between teams.

Now this defiantly does not speak for everyone on the board, and there are members that may be very well interested in what you guys are trying to do. Just giving you a heads up here.

i see kobo,
the way im trying to explain the events would be like the lion claw events but with acctual teams that would be judged on time, accuracy, kills and more. we only play and compete in milsim.. im not talking about hiding behind blow up pillars. im talking about in the dirt, in close quarter combat with scenarios..

i guess i hoped for s diffrent responce and i was hoping to get a state wide event just for arizona.. or at least for the east valley..

Simple fact is, obviously no research was done. They do not understand what airsoft is all about and that is blatantly obvious. No one needs to give them the cliff notes version, it's called gaining some experience and doing your own research.

So many things wrong here. Ex. How can I start up a National Basketball League when I have never been out to one of the many existing organized games currently held everywhere? And then have the balls to say there are few organized teams and/or no organization out there to give cash prizes too winning teams in order to make money on the game. Thus I am going to start an Official Association for basketball players and teams to compete in. Yeah it's Called the NBA. On top of that you only rearrange the words and call your "Official Organization" the Basketball National Association.

And yeah, your gona get some resistance here. Play for money = bad for airsoft and if it ever does happen, then we all have lost what we have strived to create here. And so for someone to come in here, new on the scene and suggest such bullchit is arrogant. Like Doc said, Your not the first and won't be the last. Don't take this personally but I hope the idea of "competing" for cash prizes in the "sport" of airsoft fails and dies hard.

well i see now what your responce has been...

im very disapointed in what im reading..

or at least for the east valley..

Not to mention OP:Bushmaster, OP:Blackhorse, renting out the Cajun House a few years back for CQB, etc. all took place in the east valley, as well as many MANY games at Four Peaks, Bushnell Tanks, Sycamore Creek... All without cash prizes, and all for the love of the game.

SInce you seem to lack in reading comprehension let me grunt it down for you...

We ( I ) don't care if you served our country or not.  We do care when people pose and steal the earned valor from those who have served.

That means if you make any claims about you OR your 'association' be prepared to be challenged and back it up.  A real soldier won't care if he is asked to do so.  You make claims that your 'matches' will be combat realistic.  Howthefuck you know anything about combat fuckstick?  Other than X Box ?

Your logical error was stating that our sport (the one we have been having a lot of fun with for a few minutes at least) was not legit and that YOUR concept was somehow the only legit form of airball.  Problem is you did it in our house.

Its a fukking BB game.  Right ?  And its never going to be an Olympic Sport.

Am I arrogant ?  Sure I am.  I fukking earned it too.  Am I arrogant to EVERYONE ? Hell no.

You came in here hocking your wares and when some of us question you about the quality and content of what you propose you really don't have anything of substance to say now do you?

Not that I have been out locally here in a while but I HAVE been out to AA events (and one can argue that Lionclaws IS an AA event based on the percentages of Arizona players present).  Have you ?  How do you know how newcomers are treated until you actually show up?

I told you early on that I wish you the best in your endeavors AND that I believe there is a market for the kind of paintball mentality "competition" milsim you are advocating.  Hell, I hope you grow because it will likely pull some of the tossfuck kids away from my kind of style (note to kiddies - thats only directed at the tossfucks, not everyone).

I'm going to assume from the totality of your posts and failure to comprehend what others have said to you that you are pretty much a child and just chock it up to that.  Maybe you should have the good SSG be your spokesperson... it would probably do your 'association' some good.

But remember that when you get out of your lane someone is going to call you on it.  At least here people are nice about doing so.  I'm a Wardog though so go fuckyourself...

I want to apologize in behalf of the team. I chris martinez set this account up just to spread the word about our vision and gave full access to the account to the rest of the team and friends. I see our vision isn't  seen by some players of this forum and we feel that we aren't  wanted here so I will do the honorable thing and cancel the account.

again my deepest apologies and hope to see you all doing what we love...

heh...  comical kiddo.  IP address tracing LOL ... what are you CSI ?  Thanks for the laugh.

I'm not some punk kid cyberbashing and hiding behind a keyboard.  And for the record YOU turned this into a personal attack, no one else.

On the upside, you have more than adequately demonstrated exactly the nature and character of your little 4 person club, er 'association' thats going to change the face of Airsoft in Arizona.  But then I knew you would come through for everyone.

I'll be out at local games in the near future so just ask around for me.  Everyone knows who I am.

More indicia of what EVA / Alpha Company is all about ??  Threats ??     =D>

You continue to demonstrate why no one here wants anything to do with your concept.

I sent you an educational PM that you are not likely to pay any attention to and this thread is most likely going to be locked soon anyway.  I'm sure you will never make it to any event I happen to be at but like I said, if you ever do, make sure you stop by and introduce yourself.  I'm sure we would have plenty to talk about.

Mad Sarge is right: WOW!

I'm glad i wasn't introduced to Airsoft by this Eva Alpha guy. I might never have gotten to know the great, real people who play. It's a shame, though. We're always looking for good players who are out here in the East Valley who are close enough to carpool, practice with, and stuff.

Halfway through reading these posts I was going to suggest spell checking and verifying the readability of the information.  You know --to lend it some credibility?  After finishing up here, however, I suppose (very) basic grammar and sentence construction are the least of these fellow's worries.

Good luck to you EVA!
