OP: Blackout August 23 - 24

Join MTT for an overnight military simulation adventure that begins on the evening of Saturday, Aug. 23 and continues through Sunday, Aug. 24.  

Become part of a military unit for the weekend operating out of a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Afghanistan.  Your platoon will be tasked with planning and executing a series of night time missions against Taliban and Al Qaeda fighters.  Additionally, your unit will be required to secure your FOB throughout the entire night and into the next day.  Mission assignments may include:

Reconnaissance of Local Villages
Search and Destroy Missions
Ambush of Enemy Patrols
Search and Rescue Missions
FOB Security and Defense Missions

Required Equipment
Uniform (DCU or ACU)  
Hydration Carrier or Canteens
Eye Protection                                        
Boonie or Patrol Hat
Boots
Tactical Vest  
Airsoft Rifle
Non-Winding Magazines with 2000 rounds
Tactical Flashlight
Red Glow Stick
Sleeping Bag
Tent
2 Gallons of water
MRE's or food for two meals

MTT Annual Pass Owners $20
General Public (Ages 16 and UP) $20 if prepaid by August 15  or $40 day of the event

Good question about Marpat.  The desert marpat color will be authorized for the event.

MTT normally authorizes law enforcement and military personnel to use our property free of charge for training purposes.

Although, OP: Blackout is a scenario adventure game, MTT invites LE and military personnel (with valid ID's) to attend the event free of charge.

If we're 16 and showing up do we need id's, and why for this event in the minimum 16?

Thanks for the question about the age limit and ID's for OP: Blackout.

First an answer about the age limit.  As OP: Blackout will primarily take place at night in near total darkness with few to no breaks, MTT Staff elected to restrict participants from the general public to the age of 16 for safety purposes.  We have found in the past younger players don't have the confidence to operate in the desert at night and may not enjoy the adventure.

I am sure that there are many younger airsoft players who would dispute this idea.  MTT normally makes exceptions to this rule based on experience, maturity, and training.  However, since it is impossible to evaluate these attributes through a telephone call or email, MTT has implemented this rule for OP: Blackout.  

As to the question about ID's.  MTT only checks identification when a player completes an MTT Waiver for the first time and might be under the age of 18 as parent or legal guardian must complete the waiver.  MTT will always contact a minor's parent or guardian prior to an event to discuss their participation.

I hope that this provides you some insight as to the reason for these guidelines.
