I fully plan to figure out a way for my son to fast-rope into the schoolyard when the time comes...now THAT would be cool.

And thats one way for your kid to get singled out and paranoided (that is a word).

If I were that kid, that would be awesome.  At that age, those kids probably think its real.

You've got to be kidding me....

If I were still in school and saw something like that, it would be so awesome that I couldn't even describe it.  Every boy in school would want to be like him...not to mention the mass panty-dropping that would be involved.  The few that might end up paranoid would be from the ones with tree-hugging, burningman-attendees for parents; in which case, I wouldn't want him hanging out with those types anyway and could care less if they thought it was cool.

And at least everyone would know that his parents weren't still clinging to a great movie (at the time) from 30+ years ago.... :lol:  (no offense intended Jones).

I think we can all agree that at least they haven't shown up to school as Jar Jar Binks.

Hell, I doubt they would even get picked on, they would just sign depressingly, even if they are only 3.

well for a 6yo with cancer being walked to school by stormtroopers (weather it was from 30 years ago or not) is a big thing and makes her feel special seeing as she already gets singled out because she has no hair and if i had had someone do that for me when i was that age it would of been the shit!!!

And i wasnt offended due to the fact this post was for those who actually know her and how much this meant to her. and the amout of crap she goes thru, so i will say boldly and proudly fast ropping is cool and would get attention from other kids but  her battle scars are way better than any you might get from fast ropping into the playground and twisting your ankle.

my wife works at Phoenix Children's Hospital and she says they are always there. Mostly Darth Vader and Storm Troopers, but do you think she'd invite me over....

Like I mentioned earlier Jones, I meant no offense and certainly didn't mean to belittle your daughter's condition.  To be completely honest, it never even came to mind; I figured she just liked short hair  :oops:   Also, I thought it was HER PARENTS (you and your wife I presume) that were the ones dressed up.  The fact that it was someone else doing this for her makes it cool in it's own right.  ;)
