Kingarms Crane Stock
« on: August 16, 2008, 11:31:51 AM »
Has anyone else taken a look at this?

I purchased one from Gearbox because I wanted a crane stock but didnt want to have to rewire the gun. The guys at gearbox offered to install so it was simple for me except that when you buy the stock, which comes with its own battery, it doesnt come with a way to charge the battery. The battery runs a mini deans plug and I couldnt find a place close by that sold any. Have it sort of jimmy rigged right now with how to charge it.

Just go to any RC hobby shop and they will have the connectors. Then just get your soldering stuff together or find someone who can solder and make an adapter with an old airsoft connector or simply lop off your charger's connector and solder on your dean connector. My friends and I have converted all of our stuff to deans, they are very convenient.

I don't know what you consider the closest hobby store but there is one right around the corner from Gearbox.  Its where I get most of my battery parts.  http://www.hobbyaction.com/  It is on the corner of Rural and Guadalupe Rd.  I know they carry Mini Deans, if they are out of stock that I don't know.

Huh.  I know they have had them on the wall before.  Do a search for Hobby Town, they should have them also.  If its still there there was one on like Baseline and Gilbert?  If you still cant find one let me know, was thinking about going over there in the next few days.  I wanted to find a crane stock as well.

first off are you charging a lipo? If you are, you really should be using balancing charger.

Just watch out if it is a normal Tamiya because those are reverse of airsoft Tamiya connectors. For a while my gun was wire backwards because of that, I melted a battery.
