I have been to one Marauders game in the past and I was suprised by the organization efforts put into it.  Last time, Mike the guy in charge actually called everyone registered to clarify things and take care of any questions.  He was a great guy to work with.  Plus, he's a hell of a shot.  Nailed my buddy, execution shot in the forehead from 60 feet.  I am glad to see a carpool option introduced.  That was the only negative aspect last time.  I will be registering, hope to see you guys out there!

Give me an army of West Point graduates and I\'ll win a battle. Give me a handful of Texas Aggies, and I\'ll win the war.

Thanks for your support of the event.  MTT's staff is busy working over the next few weeks to make Raiders of the Dead Man's Chest our best event yet.  Specifically, our team will be:

Adding new buildings and ruin to the field
Purchasing a number of game props (treasures, gold, etc.)
 Organizing game sponsorships

If you would like to help out at the event or with construction, please send an email to MTTStaff@gmail.com

MTT has about 15 desert camouflage uniforms availabe for rent during the Raiders of the Dead Man's Chest game ($10 for the day).  These can be rented by players who want to play on the Algerian Forces without having to purchase a uniform just for the event.

Early registration closes on Monday night.   Mission profiles will be posted at the MTT Online Forum at www.Marauders.us next Wednesday.

In 2006 Raiders of the Dead Man's Chest featured one role playing character (Captain Jack Sparrow.)  This year's event will add a new character, Professor Henry Jones Jr. also known as Indiana Jones.

Details on how these characters will interact with players will be be released in the mission profiles later this week.

There is still time to early register and save some money.  Don't forget that players that register early get two raffle tickets.

To register send an email with your name, age, telephone and team selection to MTTStaff@gmail.com

Quote from: "Marauders Airsoft"
MTT events authorize players 12 - 14 with parental supervision.

Define "parental supervision please. Does this mean the parent has to be on the field with the minor and actively playing as well or can they just be on property in the staging area?

Thanks for the question about minors.  MTT only requires that a parent or guardian is present on the property.  However, there are a number of parents who do play along side of their kids at these adventures.

Another option for parents is to role play as a civilian in the city and observe the action.  MTT can provide costumes and eye protection for those who want to fill one of these roles.

Thank you for the answer.

Another question: Are ACU's an acceptable uniform? If not, how about digital deserts?

Further backstory for RDMC

Further backstory for the upcoming Raiders of the Dead Man's Chest game on Dec. 27.

Taken from the journal of Professor Henry Jones Jr. at undisclosed archaeological dig site in Algeria.

Dec. 22, 2002

The fighting in the Capital is escalating.  My guides are growing nervous and many have started abandoning the dig site.  Progress escavating the ruins has been slowed by these departures.  My government contacts have urged me to stay and recover the Dead Man's Chest.

One major advancement is that I have found the cipher necessary to decode the Dutchman's Scroll.  From what I have been able to uncover, the legends of the Davy Jones appear to have more truth to them than fiction.  The following is a summary of facts and legends that relate to this puzzle.

During the late 1600’s, the scroll claims that the sea was ruled by a demi-god named Calypso.  Calypso entrusted the passage of souls lost at sea to her lover, a mortal, named Davy Jones.  Through a series of betrayals and massacres, Davy Jones became a demon, wreaking havoc upon the sea.  His reign of terror was ended by an unlikely group heroes chronicled in the legends of the Pirates of the Caribbean.

One of these heroes, William Turner, took upon himself the task of commanding the Dutchman and ferrying souls to the after life until his human bride, Elizabeth Swan Turner, passed herself.  Calypso rewarded the devotion of these two servants by promising them eternal life together in the after life as long as Davy Jones soul was imprisoned within the Dead Man’s Chest.

The Dutchman Scroll also indicates that Will Turner used his last powers as captain of the Dutchman to place a second curse upon the chest.  This spell would call the one man from the past who was resourceful enough to defeat Davy Jones.  There isn't any other information about this hero.  The only clue is a picture of a bird (swallow or sparrow?) over a sunset on the ocean.

The final details of the scroll indicate that if the sunsets on the Dead Man's Chest while it is open that the demon Davy Jones will return to the sea and unleash his wrath!
