I have *heard* that they work really well, but that if you use them for long periods of time, dizziness and headaches result...

Well, I personally am very pleased with them. They were only $70 and I wasn't expecting too much. They work with all of my games, although a few don't work as well as others. They work really well with half-life, all the quakes, SOF II, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and Raven Shield. The only games I have tried them with that I don't like the result are Black Hawk Down and Tron 2.0.

Another thing to note is that I have an nvidia card (fx 5600) which have the best drivers. These glasses will work with most other modern video cards, but it is best if you have an nvidia one. You also must have a crt monitor; this won't work with lcd monitors (flat-screens like on laptops). It is best if you monitor has a refresh rate above 75 or 80 Hz to get rid of any flicker. I have an OLD monitor and I can get it to work really well at 1024x768. As long as you can get your refresh rate above 80, you can play with the glasses on for just as long as you can play without them before getting a headache or anything like that. I have used them a lot and they do take a bit of getting used to for aiming, and I wouldn't use them in a multiplayer game that I care about the score too much, but I definitely think these things are worth a try. I think that the manufactuer offers a money-back gaurantee, too.

Paco- they can work with some very modern lcd's but I wouldn't get my hopes up. You can check out http://www.stereovision.net/
They have some forums that you can look at or post on.

Check out these 3d glasses. I don't know if any of you know about these kind of lcd glasses, but I just bought a pair and they really work as well as advertised. They totally change the realism of 3d games.

Here is the review that convinced me to try them- http://www.aafiles.com/edglasses.php

And here is the official site and store:
