Looking for 13 over game in and near Chandler
« on: November 11, 2008, 06:21:29 PM »
I am new to airsofting and am looking for an airsoft game for kids 13 up. It doesnt have to be in or near Chandler exactly but not like in Tuscon or anything. Mostly like in the desert around Chandler. Thank you!

Hate to say it but being so young you're not gonna find many people willing to play with you unless its neighborhood kids. Even still it is awfully dangerous to be airsofting at the age of 13, (if you are 13 that is)

I think it is an ok age to be playing air-soft. I got my first spring pistol when I was 10 and I have played a thousand times with my brothers and huge groups of like 20 people and I have never had any "dangerous" experiences, and we play with gas and high-powered rifles. The worst I've had was a nasty welt on the side of my face that looked like a giant zit for about a week.

weather you think you should be able to play or not is irrevelant, i dont think it is so much the older guys hating the young kids, but CYA. That link i posted sums a lot of it up, even  if you sighn a waiver and even if your parents sighn it as well they can still sue well something. and that somethign would more than likley be the ones that orginized the event, and yeah airsoft has a higher probablity than other sports of being hurt jsut because of the nature of it,  even though i've never seen a serious injury due to airsoft ever (i have however broken many boens and had other bad injurys from other sports), but hey the "we are runing around with guns and your inniocent little kid got hurt by the big bad bullies" argument holds up pretty good in cort when its the parents and their big atorney against a college kid.....

But weather you like it or not the rules arent going to change, so just sit an wait and play in what you can just like the rest of us did

Theres a difference between clear spring guns and GBB full metal pistols.

also before you go making assumptions about what the sport was intended for I suggest you actually learn how the sport started.

And just to add my last 2cents do you really belive that a sport based on Military simulation would be designed for kids

Someone 18+ correct me If Im wrong.

This topic has gone awal.

yes, water-boy is one to talk. please feel free to read his other topic and see just how mature he seems, and even if he was 18 i dont think i would want to play with someone like him, little kids are the people that get this sport heat. you never see some 20 year old being arrested for airsofting, its always the little kids that bring their guns to the park or something stupid like that.

WATER-BOY is entitled to his own opinion but airsoft to me seems it was built around Military "Simulations" and not just to plink in the backyard. Walmart has made it too easy for any little kid to get a gun and get into trouble. Just like everything in life there are rules that have to be followed and some people just dont think they apply to them.

well according to the law which you talk about, if an officer sees in your possession a weapon or something replicating a weapon, and they see you reach for it, well then kid your getting shot. and according to the law the police officer has probable cause. so how about this, instead of ruining the sport for all of us, you just keep safe and when your riding your bike around cover up your weapon it is just manners, which you dont seem to have any of.
