Readymag on a SCAR-L?
« on: December 15, 2008, 01:44:54 PM »
Does anyone know if an ICS Readymag system will fit the SCAR-L?  Any other brands that might?

If you have a readymag and are in the Chandler area, I'd love to try and see if it'll fit my SCAR-L.

I'm not 100% on this, but I don't believe it will fit correctly.

I just tested it and it does NOT fit. The back of the magazine well (or front of the trigger well, whichever you prefer since it's the same thing) is too wide on the SCAR to be able to still utilize the magazine release. It is also far too wide in the front, but that can be handled by changing out the screws You might be able to bend the Redi-Mag bracket to fit, but sitting here looking at it, I'd personally try to find a different solution just in case.
