Camp Navajo Event
« on: January 03, 2009, 06:15:29 PM »
The Museum of Military History is planning the next airsoft event for the end of May, 09 Memorial Day weekend. This event will follow the same format as previous events held at Camp Navajo. I'll give you more information soon but plan on the barracks, DFAC, NCO Club and another incredible event with armor. I am working on using the Indian Village area for this event instead of the Wherry housing location. More information soon.

Chad Lares- Event coordinator.

Memorial Day weekend is the weekend that Lion Claws is held.  Any chance the date could change?

Ouch...  While that would not effect me since I would prefer CC over LC it would present some of the other long-timers with a tough choice to make.  I'm looking forward to date/place confirmation and additional information.  Thanks Chad.

Excellent, can't wait to see whats cooked up for this one.  My goal is to actually not suck in time for this one.

I can bet you Red 2 will be down for playing Russians again. Or whatever badguys you need.

LC was possibly going to be leaving Socal in favor of Ft Riley this year but it looks to remain in Socal and the Ft. Riley event will be in June.

There is a lot of discussion among the Socal elders about NOT going to LC this year.  Some of the discussion is about having another event that weekend that fits the "old way" of LC, whatever that might mean to you.

There is no AO selected yet for LC this year, and the staff members who have produced the past 4 LC's will not be producing any more.

Personally I think its great that there are competing options, and I would rather play with fewer people that I like to hang with than a bunch of no-names who cry about dildos and forced haircuts.

Wardogs haven't really decided what and where for this coming Memorial Day and I will go wherever my Wardogs go, but my vote would go to Camp Navajo over LC.

^ I wouldn't mind going to california for an event, but Ft. Riley, kansas is maybe just a little bit farther than california.

Other than being excited for another CC event, I think a cool concept would be to continue along with Red Dagger's "situation", and also using the most recent incursion with Russian "problems", Ukraine and the European gas cut off.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090107/ap_ ... russia_gas

Though it might not be as tense as Belarus or Georgia, it is ripe for "write your own headlines" OP planning.

Hopefully, it stays that way, as opposed to doing it along with real headlines.
