UTG master sniper Gen. 3

well i know this thing isnt that great, i got one to see how it was since people said it was a good beginner airsoft sniper. it actually beat my expectations but not by alot. what i want to know is what i could do to try and make it more accurate?
iv heard the tightbore barrel helps alot but its a pain to keep clean to minimize jamming. also if i do get a tighbore barrel and do the teflon mod for it, what bbs should i use? estimates that iv gotten from people online who own the gun and have done tighbore and teflon say its about 470 fps with .2 grams. should i use bbs even higher than .25 or .28? i really want to make this gun the best i can since its really not all that bad, but its not great out of box and id like to use it more often than i do.

My partner Keny owned a gen 3 until the mk-96 came out then he sold it to our teammate cylus for $60, now he will never go back lol. I would suggest you get a MK-96 instead. Much much quieter and durable, and higher fps for longer range!

they have the same fps and length of barrel... how would buying a different gun with the same barrel length and fps increase accuracy and fps....? #-o

The differnts could that the spring has a higher tension or the barrle diameter could be smaller and never trust the fps they say i bought a gas pistol that they said shot at 185 when i had it crono it shot 285 i go off the dealers rep and player reviews on the weapon for the poster .25 ill give you better accuracy and range but you loose the speed with my sniper i use .25 its a good bb

They are more consistent than you'd think. Don't get me wrong, if you're using HFC 134A gas, it will be much slower than warm propane/Green Gas. But a specific model with same the same brand of gas at the same temperature will usually chrono very close any other of the same model.

yes, i understand that, but you can't beat the consistancy of a spring, its one object moving at the same speed with the same power every time (with of course the seasoning of the spring [breaking it in])
