Re-entering the Field

Used to play a few years ago (I think I even played with some az airsoft guys up north once), priorities changed and left the sport. I'm looking to get back in again. looks like theres some new aeg makers now, is this JG company decent? thinking I'll pick up a solid sniper rifle (maruzen or TM) and then one of these cheap JG guns for when sniping is inappropriate.

looking for games south of chandler and ray (where it breaks from the casinos and turns to desert) along the I-10. seems like most games are being held either at tucson or way up north or way out east of phx. I understand the need to avoid the public. just wondering if anyone's established a presence between chandler and maybe maricopa out in the desert?

"Unless I see head dresses....you are not welcome here."
Point taken back then. It's not the place to play.
Spend a little bit more $ and get something a little better, 50 bucks makes a big difference at that price point.

maricopa isn't the res, but then who knows what the boundaries are. I agree with you...doesn't have to be a res cop to be a problem either, cops + guns + confusion = bad situation wherever you are.

I seem to remember making the drive out past maricopa though...played with some AZ airsoft guys. can't remember the field though, its been some years.

I like your name, futuresport is one of my favorite moveis, but you need the cain as your avatar! latley there hasnt been many games, the CQBAZ is new, and there are a few games comming up, but nothing big that Im aware of.

Usually make the drive out of town. There's a area near Eloy that's decent and we used to play out
near Florence.
In Tempe you can always check out AZCQB, if your interested in that kind of thing.
I'd rather play the desert.
I'd put off getting a sniper type rifle first and get a good mid priced AEG.
Check out Gearbox, the guys will point you in the right direction and catch you up
with what's new with AEG's. I've gotten some good deals on their consignment wall as well.

on the topic of JG being quality or not im going to have to give two thumbs way up. i have a JG m4 s-system 2008 upgrade (m4 s-system marui clone), ive had it for aver a year and have yet to have any problems with the gun (knocks on wood). the gun is pushing 400 fps so if your planing on playing at cqb az this isnt the gun for you how ever if your planning on going to a rebel union game or something of the sort it is, well amazing for the price hands down. very accurate, very solid. only down side of the gun is the abs receivers so if you have the money for a CA or a real marui buy this gun and metal receivers for it. it comes with a 120 spring, high torque motor for the spring, full metal gear box and decent hop up chamber.

pros:
higher velocity
accuracy very good
battery life good (comes with a small type batt.)
full RIS

Cons:
abs receivers
lower end of the spectrum for rate of fire (could be bad or good depending on your play style, good for me)
