The fur trade. WARNING: very graphic

I love animals more than people, I'm a hippie, and I don't read the forum rules.

I have been warned.

Seen it before and known about it for awhile.  That's why I read labels before buying something in a gift shop.

However, I'm almost certain that a lot of places efficiently kill the animals before skinning (makes the process easier, I assume)

Lastly, to add to the thread, if you really want to feel bad about wearing fur clothing, then read this and don't look at the URL, the top left of the page, or the bottom of the page. (I know it's BS with small kernels of truth mixed in)

Whos saying its cruel? You are, an Americain (I assume) who I'm guessing has never lived in china nor experienced their culture. What is wrong and sick to us might very well be acceptiable in their culture. Not to mention just becuase there is a market for this stuff doesn't mean every chinese person eats dogs.  yeah even though you said dont watch the videos i had to just because you said not to, and i really wish i had not. I do think its sick, but Im not going to try and stop it.

I think that this title is a bit discriminatory because you are infering that all of China participates in this, and that it is some "secret" that China is hiding behind closed doors.  You are enveloping an entire country with the actions of only a handfull.  I understand that you are posting this to raise awareness and I agree, but please change the title.  Animals are treated unethically everywhere around the world, including here in America.

Here's a better video that fits into the framework of 'What goes on in China. WARNING : very graphic'.

As a member of a chinese family I must say that this shocked me. The fact that it points towards china as a whole doing this.  I dont approve of it at all, but unfortunatly just like here in the US and any other country, people find loopholes and ways to make money through the most inhumane ways. Grouping us together  like this is like saying all chinese eat cat.  To most of us it is fairly close to sin since we believe they haunt you if you choose to harm them. Please make sure to make it clear what you are trying to get across next time.

I thought his point was perfectly clear, and it was stating the exact opposite of what you drew from it, his response, and your reaction to his response, are saying the same thing, i think you may have misread him. He was saying that, by placing "What goes on in CHINA" in the title, you are inferring that the entirety of the Chinese people preform these acts. He didn't say he was grouping them, he was asking you to change the title to stop grouping them all as one. I think you both are arguing the same point from different angles. Either way, if you did see this, then ignore me, but I figured I would try to clear that up.

Yeah, and since the Nazis found it "acceptable," the killing and torturing of 6 million+ Jews is justified. I apologize  :x
It was sick, but we shouldn't have done anything, right?

I see what you mean, and I apologize if i offended you. I did not by any means try to classify the entire Chinese population and anyone of Chinese descent as animal killing/eating and inhumane people. I will change the title accordingly.

First off, the world is brutal. Proabably more brutal now than ever. Get used to it. It's the what it is and it won't change.
Be glad you're on the top of the food chain. When it comes to how other cultures treat animals we can't change it, it's how they
make a living to feed there families. They were not given the choice of what they want they wanted to do. There family did it, that's what they know.
It's in there culture. Sure it may seem barbaric to us but it  there culture. There is much worst out there, and
I'm not arrogant enough to think that all Chinese do it. Take Vince's video for example, the society without a police presence will
do to devy out justice.
If you have the time to worry about how animals in China are treated you're not concentrating your direction on what your own
priorities might be. I'm not talkings saving up to buy your next bad ass AEG to PWND the field, I'm talking about feeding your
kids and keeping your lights on. They're not doing it because they're sadistic, they're doing it to put food on the table.
Welcome to the world. To compare this to the holocust is utter rubish. Hate and survival are totally different things.
