ECHO 1 P90 battery upgrade?
« on: August 16, 2009, 09:39:40 AM »
I have an ECHO 1 P90 and i would like to know if i could use a 10.8v battery with it. im not too familiar with AEG's as this is my first one, but my gun came with a 9.6v and i guess it has a good gear box along with reinforced steel gears. i just want to raise the rof without having to buy a new motor and stuff, so would it be smart for me to buy and use a 10.8v battery in my gun?

It's never smart to put a high-powered Li-po in a gun that you want to last more than a few months.

If you are looking for more rof, downgrade your spring. The stock E1 spring is already shooting 380. I have heard good things have come about ROF wise for those who downgrade lol.

I don't think he was asking about a lipo but a 10.8v NiMH battery. But either way its not a good idea with out some upgrades. I have a echo 1 P90 and it just doesn't feel like it could handle anything higher then a 9.6 to me. Plus I already blow through the mid caps it comes with and the hi-caps i have for it just don't feed as well as regular vertical hi-caps, so an increased ROF would make them even more unreliable. And to be honest i think it shoots fast enough, your money would be better spent on a TBB or some extra mags. But that's just my 2 cents.
