I just was thinking about going to the Fort Adobe game this Saturday and was wondering if it is worth the Drive?

Have you seen the pictures of their field?  There are some posted here: viewtopic.php?f=106&t=24395&st  I havent been yet but it looks pretty cool.  The only thing that keps me from going is that they also do paintball, and I dont want to get paint all over my gear

The airsoft field is nearly paint free.  I've only stepped on a few paintballs ( there are some as you walk in that I didn't see).  You don't have to worry about gooing up all your gear.

Do they have a dedicated airsoft field?  I thought it was doubling as a paintball field due to the paint splats on the structures in the images I saw.  I was personally more worried about leaning agains a piece of cover and getting paint smeared all over me, opposed to stepping in paintballs.  I've played paintball before and know how nasty a well used field can get.

I will probably make my way down there eventually, especially now that I Slap Fat Kids put my only concern to rest

I think they might wipe the cover clean after they use it.   The wood does leave white marks on your gear though; it's covered in dust.  It comes off, but it takes a while.

I've also heard that there have not been many airsofters there lately, so they may be using it for paintball more.  You could give them a call and ask, and be sure to wear something that you can wash (just in case).

Went last week and was told the rentals were stolen. Had to call a bunch of friends to tell them not to come. There were a few airsofters there already, but not enough to justify the field fee, in my opinion. Maybe it'll turn out better this week.
