Hello from North Carolina
« on: October 08, 2009, 06:23:40 AM »
Hello Fellow Airsofters!

My name is Kyle, I go by the callsign 'Halo'. I am the team commander of one of the largest and active teams in North Carolina, Task Force Sixteen. I am the current president for the North Carolina Airsoft Organization. I am a prior service Military Police officer and currently work as an emergency dispatcher for a local agency in North Carolina. I got into airsoft back when I was in the Army, most of my colleagues and I would skirmish on our own, nothing big. When I left the military and moved to North Carolina, I found out that NC had a VERY large airsoft community. I'm not sure if you've heard of the Fulda Gap scenario held at Command Decisions Wargames Center, but its the largest game in NC and typically draws hundreds of players (I know this year they are predicting 300+), but that was the first event I went to. I realized that my GBB pistol was well under-matched for the event, so I took three months and began gearing up and getting a decent load-out. Since then I haven't looked back. I love this sport, the camaraderie it provides, as well as the opportunity to do something I really enjoy.

Hey Gizmo!  Yeah, tell me about it.  Fluke came back with all kinds of stories.  I'm hoping next year will be better for me financially.
