Beautiful. What are the FPS limits and is there a field fee?

Beautiful. What are the FPS limits and is there a field fee?

All AEGs not covered further below must be at or under 376 fps with a .25g BB (420 w/ .20g).
2. All Sniper rifles* must be at or under 460 fps with a .36g BB (617 w/ .20g) and must observe a 75 foot MED (Minimum Engagement Distance) as well as have automatic firing abilities mechanically disabled.
3. All SAW Weapons** must be at or under 400 fps with a .25g BB (445 w/ .20g).
*Sniper rifles must be semi automatic or bolt action rifles with a stock and barrel length over 33 inches.  Violating the semi automatic fire or MED rules with a weapon in this range will result in aggressive disciplinary action.
**SAW Weapons are faithful recreations of belt or box fed firearms qualify as SAWs. This includes (but is not limited to) the M60, M249, MG42, RPD, Shrike, and similar models. NO MP5's, M-16s, or non SAW weapons with a drum magazine are recognized as SAWs and as such must follow the AEG rules.

No field fee, no fee for the raffle.

Hi All!  I just wanted to take a moment and bump this thread to the top, as we are getting closer to the date and with a remote location we want to afford maximum time to plan your trips.

Scenario mechanics are pretty much hashed out at this point and we will be fine tuning them based on RSVPs.  Also of note, our raffle swag is based on the total number of people to sign up and show up.  While that increases the competition for each chance at a prize it also increases the chances that they will be getting nicer swag.
Impressions are strongly suggested, we want to be able to evoke a feeling of being immersed in the experience rather then a large pickup game.  Please take some time to look back over the faction choices above and get your RSVP in for the event, as it helps us plan for the best event possible.

If you have any questions feel free to post them up and myself or azsworst will get them answered for you.  Thank you!

Just wanted to point out that we are topping the RSVP charts at 20+ participants at this point.  Pretty even mix of factions but if your on the fence the Chechens are the team behind right now.  Please get those RSVPs in so we can get scenarios tuned for the proper size and get the appropriate prize support.

Greetings All!

Due to the charity games being hosted during the month of December the team has decided to push this event through until January.  This should provide everyone a chance to better prepare impressions for 'Grozny' while being able to support their local airsoft communities in raising awareness of the sport while helping those in need.

The new date is January 23rd.  Times and place should be the same.

The roster will be cleared this week and a new post created with the latest game information and a new roster sign up sheet.  Stay tuned to your favorite forum for the latest or visit us at the event page here:

Thank you azsarge!

ALL:
Roster has been cleared and we are now ready to accept RSVPs for the event on its new date of 01.23.10.  If you have submitted an RSVP before today then it has been dropped, please resubmit based on your ability to attend on the new date of January 23rd 2010.

Please be aware of the faction and uniform choices.  You can find them at the event info page linked below.  While we encourage some effort at doing a realistic 'impression' it is not required, however, there are some general uniform minimum requirements that must be met (i.e. not much choice for digitals).

Stay tuned to this thread for additional details and we look forward to see you on the 'Outskirts of Grozny'.

I would like to note that green marpat will also work for any serviceman who cannot obtain woodland for the chechen side. This is NOT an excuse for any joe shmoe to wear marpat.. Doing so will result in expulsion, and I wouldn't like to do that  :(

For those of you especially interested in dressing the part, take a look at http://www.red-alliance.net/forum/, or if you'd rather not leave the forum, my meager little guide...

Many thanks to ADM for their support of this event, we know Phoenix is a long drive for this AO.  Just so you guys making a long trip know, camping is allowed unless the Forest Services blacks camping out for that weekend for some reason or another (they should not since we are out of fire season).

The latest RSVP count is putting us well into the 20+ participants mark with easily two to three times that many additional bodies expected.

Please get those RSVPs in so we can continue to fine tune and plan for the best possible event.

Event info is here:

RSVP sheet is here:
http://deserthawks.org/index.php?option ... view&id=35

Expect an 'Impression Guide' from azsworst some time soon, if your looking for inspiration on how to dress the parts.
