So, you say any green camo besides woodland, but MC is not okay? ](*,)  What about a ghillie suit? Since you are allowing sniper rifles of 617fps..I would assume you will allow a ghillie.

No MC for russians, any russian pattern or Olive drab etc are fine...

Chechens can wear woodland, as pointed out a decent chechen impression would be a wind breaker, beanie, and woodland pants...

Ghillies are fine for either side, no restrictions on those...

Here are the fps rules again:
Quote
2. All weapons are are required to be chronographed and observe a maximum fps limit.  For normal field games (CQB will differ) the limits are as follows:
2.1 All AEGs not covered further below must be at or under 376 fps with a .25g BB (420 w/ .20g).
2.2 All Sniper rifles* must be at or under 460 fps with a .36g BB (617 w/ .20g) and must observe a 75 foot MED (Minimum Engagement Distance) as well as have automatic firing abilities mechanically disabled.
2.3 All SAW Weapons** must be at or under 400 fps with a .25g BB (445 w/ .20g).
*Sniper rifles must be semi automatic or bolt action rifles with a stock and barrel length over 33 inches.  Violating the semi automatic fire or MED rules with a weapon in this range will result in aggressive disciplinary action.
**SAW Weapons are faithful recreations of belt or box fed firearms qualify as SAWs. This includes (but is not limited to) the M60, M249, MG42, RPD, Shrike, and similar models. NO MP5's, M-16s, or non SAW weapons with a drum magazine are recognized as SAWs and as such must follow the AEG rules.

Yes you can eek out 617 fps with a .20g bb on a sniper rifle.  However it must be mechanically disabled from full auto (i.e. we dont take anyone word that they 'promise' to stay in semi) and you MUST observe a 75+ ft minimum engagement zone.  Staff will be strictly enforcing the MED for snipers, if we catch anyone with a gun that hot even 'accidentally' breaking the MED, we will eject you.  In short, if you cant control your knee jerk reaction to getting rushed then a sniper role is not for you this game.

Well the ghillie I would sport is a half ghillie that covers my upper half, so that leaves me with two choices, wear contractor tan pants, or MC pants.

I have an adjustable air rig, so fps is only varied by 5fps at most, I tend to keep this specific gun at 600. It's a bolt action system, I am not a 14year old with an echo1 'DMR'

Don't be that guy Andy.  Just go buy some used woodlands or od/sage 511 pants.  You can wear the 511s for more than just airball if that helps justify buying it.

Greetings all!  The big week has arrived finally and we are looking forward to having everyone out for 'Outskirts of Grozny'.

At this time we are are looking at a pretty even split of 70 to 80 players.  Please be sure to arrive early or on time, if you are not camping out, so that we can get through the pre event formalities quickly and cleanly and get everyone on their way to slinking through the rough and cold terrain while popping bb death on one another.  Here is the schedule as a reminder:

0600 Arrive and preparation
0700 Registration & Chrono*
0800 Pregame Brief
0830 Game Start

Please be sure to be wearing the proper attire for your faction and show up to the chrono station with your bag of bio bb's (must have orginal lable on it) and the weapons you wish to have tagged for the day.

Again as a reminder, the following items are REQUIRED for this event:

a) Bio BB's
b) Non Winding Magazines (Support gunners are exempt with their box mags)

Some items that are HIGHLY suggested include:

a) FRS/GMRS Radio
b) Pocket pencil and paper

Please remember this venue is located on Forest Service land.  Do not vandalize the land, signage, or leave your trash anywhere in the venue.  We want to ensure we leave the grounds in the same, or better, condition then we found them, so that we are invited to return to them again in the future.

Should you have any questions please contact myself or azsworst.

For those just tuning in and having a desire to attend, you can find the event info here:
http://deserthawks.org/index.php?option ... &Itemid=44

You may RSVP here:
http://deserthawks.org/index.php?option ... view&id=35

Thank you and see you all this weekend!

My brother went and wrecked my car while I was out of town for a couple of weeks. If anybody can provide a carpool I would very much appreciate it. I live in Litchfield Park, and I was planning to camp out at the field the night before.

Would also like to add:

If you are on the russian side, you are required to wear a white cloth armband. If anyone forgets I will have some on hand for sale (cheap).

I remember getting one for a game a while back -- Is it possible again to get a Topo map of the AO with a rough outline of the boundaries?  Thanks and appreciated.

I'm throwing a map together at the moment. I can print an extra one and bring it for you on Saturday.

That is, unless you're russian. Then I'll just feed you false intel and give you a map of Disneyland. ;)

And for those proficient in your own land nav, you can find the staging area here:

 31°48'2.62"N
110°45'26.64"W

Staging is southern boundary, play area will extend north to the road, west to the road, and east for about 1 mile.

Here is a low res snap shot of the area as well...
