GoPro Helmet Cam
« on: October 28, 2009, 06:03:28 PM »
Usually this would go on the head....but that's boring and elementary for cinematography. Instead I decided to give it a 28 Weeks Later feel.

Rigged onto cheap OE Tech Spec Op Plate Carrier

The result

more rigs and angles to come

more in depth mini review on DFA forums (join, it's pretty laid back....and dead)

I have decided. Thats sick. Definitely looking to see some videos from you in the future, however, wouldn't that let you observe only 1 side of the battle, namely, the left side?

Now you need to attach some gears and a remote to pan the camera left and right with something like a Wii nunchuck

Try mounting High center chest for that First Person Shooter feel. wait that might not work..... try it anyway. Can you mount it to your rifle??  What model did you get??

Strapping a camera to a rifle stock works well for the first-person perspective.

Either one are one in the same, the wide is better IMO. it has a wide angle lens, 120 degrees IIRC. I have had a number of these...They would be fine for airsofting, mountain biking etc. We use them on our drift cars inside and out for events.. I can tell you they have been tested up to 172mph..

And they retail for under $200, you can get them locally at CycleGear @ Country Club and Southern Or contact me and I will order one at the same cost. 199$

Actually on my ZX6r I mounted it on the tank in the baffle of the windscreen so you heard a tiny amount of wind but not much, mostly engine/exhaust noise..and a few sirens here and there..

Nice! That camera angle's really unique. I dont know if you play in any CQB areas but i think thats where your camera set up would be the best since it would show a cool perspective of room clearing and interaction with teammates  [smilie=armata_pdt_01.gif]

Thats a really cool looking camera angle, even if we can't see what you're shooting at. :)
