Is there a need for a sniper role on either side?

BHD: Battle of Mogadishu FAQ

The event info says that Rangers and Delta Assaulters must attend MTT training programs to sign up for the event.  When and where are the programs being held?  Is there a cost to attend these classes?

MTT will be hosting three training programs prior to the game.  These include:

Dec. 12 - Close Quarter Combat Training - Fighter Town Paintball $20 (10 am - 3 pm)
Dec. 20 - MOUT Training (Military Operations in Urban Terrain) - MTT UAC $10 (10 am - 3 pm)
Jan. 9 - MOUT Training Fighter Town Paintball $20 (10 am - 3 pm)

Are there sniper roles on either force?
There will not be any sniper roles at the event due to the size of the battle field.  Participants may use sniper rifles as long as they meet the velocity restriction of 375 FPS with .25 bbs.

The first of the training programs to qualify for Task Force Ranger for BHD: Battle of Mogadishu will be held this weekend at Fighter Town from 9 am - 3 pm.

Admission is still $10 for MTT AP Owners and $20 for the general public.

For those interested in the missions at the event, here is a sneek peek of some of the roles that each group will undertake.

Mission 1 - The Assault
Task Force Ranger
Delta Assaulters
Delta will assault and secure the target building (tactical shoot house).  Assaulters will search for and secure two Tier 1 individuals.

Ranger Chalks 1 & 2
Rangers will deploy from two helicopters from the SE and NE corners of the Target Building.  They will set up security on the SW and NW corners of the Target Building to prevent the Somali militia from interfering with the mission.

Once the building and Tier 1 individuals are secured a convoy (2 military vehicles) will move to the target building to extract the assault force and Ranger Chalks.

Somali Militia
The militia begins in a battle against another clan on the scenario field of Fighter Town (FT).  During this battle militia members will have unlimited respawns.

Special roles - eight members of the Habr Gidr militia are providing security for the target building.  Once they are assaulted by US forces, they must set off a smoke grenade to call the feuding factions of the militia to their aid.

Mission 2 - Black Hawk Down
Delta Assaulters
Black Hawk Super 61 has crashed west of the target building.  A Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) Team has been inserted near the crash site to provide security until the ground convoy arrives to extract the wounded and CSAR.

Ranger Chalks 1 & 2
Rangers are instructed to move by foot to the crash site of Super 61 and provide security until the arrival of the ground convoy.

Somali Militia
Militia members are to attack the US forces from multiple directions and attempt to over take the crash site.

Mission 3 - The Lost Convoy
Task Force Ranger
All members will mount military vehicles and attempt to reach the crash site by vehicle.  The vehicles will drive around the perimeter of the battlefield attempting to find a route to the crash.

Somali Militia
Militia members will engage US military vehicles from buildings in an attempt to prevent the convoy from reaching the crash site.

Mission 4 - Mogadishu Mile
Task Force Ranger
All members of the task force will secure a number of buildings near the crash site of Super 64 awaiting a rescue convoy of multinational forces.  Once the wounded are loaded into the convoy the Task Force will extract by vehicle to a safe zone.  Unfortunately due to poor communication and planning a squad of Rangers and Delta is forced to extract by foot to the safe zone.

Somali Militia
Prevent US military forces from escaping the area.

So if I were to go this weekend, I could be on the Task Force? What day would it be on? And if it's Saturday, what time?

Hmm. this sounds very exciting and i hope ill be able to go, but i cant make any plans for this yet since i dont know what will be happening one month from now.
i have one question though, i use a P90 and have invested in a box magazine. i dont use the box magazine for its main purpose which is to hold a crap load of bb's, i use it as a converter to use standard cap M4 mags. if i proved i was using the box mag as a converter would i be allowed to use it? i use m4 mags because i have an m4 vest and mag pulls. a whole heck of alot easier than using a long lunky P90 mag.

Thanks for the question about the P90 converter.  If you are interested in playing on the Somali militia there are no magazine or weapon restrictions.  You would be able to use it with non-winding magazines.

For those interested in playing on Task Force Ranger, there are only two training dates left:

Saturday, Dec. 20 - MOUT Training at UAC (9am - 4 pm)
Saturday, Jan. 9 - MOUT Training at Fighter Town (9 am - 3pm)

The main reason for the training is to help the Task Force learn the mission profiles to promote a more fluid adventure.

Register for either training program by sending an email to MTTStaff@gmail.com

Thanks for the question about ROTC.  Unfortunately, ROTC membership will not qualify for the game.

That sounds like wicked fun....

ROTC!? Come on now, u gotta be kiddin me, do they even do any kind of basic training? LOL

Here's my question....can I attend without training since I experienced real training with the Army during my last tour, or do I have to do the MTT Training still? I'm wondering because I thought the 20th of Dec would be a good opportunity but the 19th I will be somewhere far and won't be able to make that time. January 9th one is also going to be difficult for me because of previous military engagements.

I hope I didn't miss another training that might be available between this coming weekend and the actual event. Let me know.....thanks in advance!

MTT will authorize veterans to serve on Task Force Ranger.

The main reason for the training is to give the TFR an opportunity to work together and practice actions on objectives such as the Target Building take down and movement to the crash sites.

Players who qualify as Active Duty, Reserve, Guard, or Veterans may serve on Ranger Chalks 1 & 2 without attending either of the two training programs.  However, only those who have attended the training programs and practiced the target building take downs will get a chance to be on the assault element on mission 1.

Thanks for the questions.

The spaces available for Task Force Ranger are quickly running out.  There are only 8 spaces left.

The last training class for BHD: Battle of Mogadishu will be held on Jan. 9 at Fighter Town.

Pull ignitor smoke grenades for the game will be available for $8 each.  Fuze lit grenades will not be authorized at the game.
