Oh it would be a fun place to be able to set up some stuff no doubt, but like Mad Sarge said, sturing up that bird $h&t and the asbestos wouldn't be a good idea. No kick ass game of airsoft is worth damage to your lungs or worse. great place but just not worth it....


Now buy the place, clean it up, and then make money for airsoft, PB and law enforcement training....thats the plan (lol)

Well there seems to be a lot of interest here, so should I get in touch with the property manager and see if he'd be cool with an airsoft war?  The manager did give my buddy and friends a grand tour and free reign over the entire facility for all of Sunday last week. If he's cool with it I'll then ask him the skinny on the asbestos situation, then the next step would be to check out exactly how bad the bird shit coverage is in person.  What do you guys think?

I would probably avoid the words war or even airsoft. Training simulations and stuff like that usually go over better. Except it's using biodegradable projectiles not live ammo.

id love to run a scenario out there. the bird shit situation kind of sucks but being airsofters we learn to adabt. id say figure out the details with the properties managment and well go from their!

but if we tried to sorta clean up the bird shit the owner might be more inclined to keep letting us play there.

Pigeon shit is a big time health hazard.  There is a serious risk of upper respiratory infections, and maybe worse.  I don't know what those fuckers eat that makes their droppings so bad, but it's like kryptonite.  It's such a hazard that the Army has spent a lot of money keeping them out of our hangars.

I won't step foot in that place.

I think a game around the structure would be very cool, though.  Every time we drive to a national game, Mikey and I discuss that place.  So far, we've been discouraged by the health hazard, but now that the ball is rolling I hope something will come of it.

Really, whats wrong with the desert?

According to you, you cant go into the office and stuff becuase of bird poop, and your only open to the large open areas and outside, So basiclly its an outside game with shade on part of the field? Also the open elevator shaft sounds like a really bad idea.....

And since it is private property I find it somewhat hard to believe that the owner would take that liability in letting a bunch of people play there.

Oh and isnt asbestos very hard to clean up? not to mention the actual cleaning of it usally makes it worse, up in our old cabin there was asbestos and they health people just had us put another layer of cememnt over it, they said that to actualy tear up the old stuff and clean it out would make it worse and be a lot more time/money to clean in the long run.

there are about 4 areas we could use. the main gate,  the pooling area and ticket windows (2 storys with an opening in the middle) the work compound across the track, and the south side with the aquaduct and other cover  

theres nothing wrong with the desert but we dont get many chances for urban games  that are actual buildings.        ( i wish we could get one of those apt complexes that are all one story houses with a comune pool   thatd be cool)
