new....
« on: January 14, 2010, 08:50:36 PM »
i am almost completely new to airsoft, never played an actual game before, but i have some tactical experience. so i guess what im asking here is what kind of training missions do i need, or equipment do i need to play in any of these events?

like what kind of equipment do i need to play at fightertown? for example.

i currently have no vest or bag or anything like that.
i just have a gun and a paintball mask, i do happen to have a small camelback for hydration and a pair of BDUs

what else do i need?

A gun, eyepro, and ammo are all you REALLY need.
A vest/platecarrier/chest rig with extra mags are usually very helpful.

I'm pretty sure you can actually rent everything you need at fightertown when you go there.

It's a newbie guide.  It's a few years old, but has the info you need.  A basic set-up can serve you well in any game format regardless if it's CQB or rolling hills RECON.  Get out and play and then make up your mind from there.
If you're in the Tempe area, go to Gearbox and they'll set you up.
