CYMA .050 Romanian AK
« on: February 09, 2010, 08:30:58 PM »
I love my CM.050! it shoots at about 410 fps with .2 bbs, which breaks beer bottles. it looks awesome. it is accurate. it fits my Matrix AK47 scope rail and red/green dot. it is stout! the wood looks sweet. rpm is better than my Cybergun Thopmson. it accepts so many upgrades i dont know where to start. I play outdoors in the desert and this baby has got range. the front sling mount is a bit small and the rear is attached by a rivet that doesn't look too sturdy. weight is not an issue for me (6'2" adult).
Future: SVD flash hider, 7.4 lipo, custom rear sling mount for single point, custom galil style bolt handle. what more could you ask for?

perhaps someone is considering this gun. i would recommend it. also, i didn't want to write out an entire review as i would want to be thorough. now, someone knows i have one and can ask me a question if interested. furthermore, i performed a search before purchasing the weapon and found no results of interest for this particular model. NOW, there is a place for people to talk about how awesome this AK is. I'm glad people are interested. anyone else have one of these?

Congrats on the purchase, it's always great to see more eastern-bloc stuff out there. You'll probably want a new spring though, to lower the FPS to around 380. You'll be able to play in more games with it, and your gun will probably last longer too.

Thanks for the suggestion. You won't catch me with an M4! Yay for AK! I will wait and see how many complaints i get from targets at the next few games. I am playing strictly outdoors in Yuma and don't plan on traveling to play for a while. We have a "use your sidearm rule" for close encounters, and  my Umarex TF11 works nice for that shooting a steady 350fps. Out here in the desert everything is pretty spread out and the CM.050's fps help me reach out and touch things. Eventually, I will purchase an AK beta or something with a lighter spring and customize for CQB, or at least that's the plan. This is just my first year playing, but the wish-list grows continually.

Get an AK-74S or AK-74SU, those "beta" AK's are made up guns. http://www.red-alliance.net/forum/ You'll also probably love that site, the best source for eastern-bloc airsoft information.

BTW you shot me in the back of the head when I was spraying with the 60. It has a nice little punch.
