MTT is hosting Open Games and the Urban Assault Challenge on April 17 from 8 am - 5 pm.

So you can have a team of 6 but only 4 of those 6 will be able to compete in the missions? ( besides the individual move and shoot)

Thanks for the question about the number of team members.

Previous competitions have taught us that often team members have to cancel or get sick prior to an event.  Instead of being short a member or having to recruit someone who hasn't trained with the team, having 6 provides a couple of alternate members for the competition.

Additionally, teams can choose which members compete in each stage as some may have stronger skill sets or experience that match the competition stages.  All team members will still have access to the event and an opportunity to play at the open games on the day of the event.

Registration will open today at Gearbox Airsoft for the Urban Assault Challenge.

Teams that register for the competition can attend a free day of training at the UAC on Saturday, April 10 (10 am - 4pm).  Stages similar to those at the competition will be open for teams to practice and familiarize themselves with the field.

MTT staff will be available for close quarter combat drills, room clearing, and tactical mobility (vehicle) training.

The training and admission is free for team members of any registered team.  The general public may attend for $20.

How much does it cost for open games admission only?

There are currently 4 teams that have expressed interest in the competition (2 have registered).

Open game admission is $10 per person.

I don't have a team yet, nor do I know if I have that day off, but I do really want to attend...
I'll let you know hopefully by the end of the week though.

Players who don't have teams can participate in the open games and try out some of the competition events.

Team registration will close on Thursday evening. Currently there are three teams registered for the Urban Assault Challenge.
Event info will be emailed out on Thursday night.

Open Games will begin at 9 am and continue until at least 3 pm.  Admission is only $10 for the General Public and free for Annual Pass Owners.

Mike informed me that it is still going on, however if their ends up being less then 4 teams participating then he will cancel the competition. Their will still be open games regardless.

Since there are a limited number of teams competing, the event start time has been moved to 9:00 am.

All team members that compete on teams that preregistered will receive an MTT Annual Pass valid until Dec. 31, 2010.

Registration by email for the open games will close tonight at 6 pm.  Directions and waivers for new players will be emailed out tonight at 6:15.  Send an email to MTTStaff@gmail.com to register for the games.
