Marauders Tactical Training is introducing Merc Work: The Private Military Contractor Experience.  This new combat adventure program will debut at the Urban Assault Course on Sunday, April 11, 2010 from 9 am - 5 pm.

ABOUT MERC WORK: A PRIVATE MILITARY CONTRACTOR EXPERIENCE

-Weapons and tactical training of Iraqi National Police

Those who complete the event may receive the option to attend MTT's Live Fire Tactical Mobility Program.

Here are some answers to some frequently asked questions about Merc Work.

Q: Is a secondary weapon necessary for the event? What type of weapon can be used as a secondary?

A: A secondary weapon will be needed for many of the personal security detail qualification drills and missions experienced during Merc Work.  Ideally the weapon should be a pistol or machine pistol that can be holstered and transitioned to quickly from the primary weapon.

Q: Why is Merc Work more expensive than some of MTT's other airsoft events.

A: Merc Work is designed to give participants a taste of some the real world skills and missions faced by modern private military contractors.  The event coordinator provided similar training for USMC, FBI, ATF, and other government operators through the High Risk Personnel training program.  As such, Merc Work will not be just another "airsoft" event.  Similar to Confrontation '09, Merc Work will provide guests access to a unique military simulation experience.

Thanks for the questions.  Feel free to post additional questions here or send them to MTTStaff@gmail.com

Merc Work registration is now open at Gearbox Airsoft.

Interested in attending Merc Work but might not be able to afford the event?

MTT will be introducing the MTT OPFOR (Opposing Force) program.  Individuals and teams who successfully complete the MTT OPFOR program will be able to attend future Combat Adventure Programs such as the SPEC OP Adventure, SWAT Adventure, and Merc Work as insurgents or support forces for a reduced admission (usually $20).  OPFOR will also receive invitations to private events.

More information will be released later this week.

Could a pump-action shotgun count as a secondary? If not I'll just borrow a friend's GBB but I'd rather not have to.

I don't think a shotgun will work considering there will be a pistol qualification drill. Also, shotguns are not ideal with the use of vehicles. I'd borrow the pistol if you can. I'd imagine it will be much more useful.

The Merc Works program sounds like some great training event to go out to. The MOUT training MTT has held was great and im shure this will be great as well.

Also what is this OPFOR program this sounds like a great deal to get into games and play a different role. Do you have more information about this?
