Multicam is...
« on: March 21, 2010, 11:00:41 AM »
no longer a comercial camo. It's being fielded to all soldiers in Afghanistan in July, and soon after that it will be integrated into the whole Army. I can't wait.

That is all.

The Brits are adopting it as well, but I dont understand why the Army would invest so much money into the ACU camouflage and then 4 years later change it to the better pattern.

because there is the right way, wrong way, and the army way. I did 8 1/2 years in the Army Infantry and there is not much brains when it comes to the army way

I knew for a couple years we were switching to MC's but I never really knew a date, fuckstick.
The articles in the Army Times always said late 2010 or early 2011, and they were very vague as to where and when etc.

I posted because I read about a definitive date in my AKO.
That date being July 2010. This excited me so I thought I'd share.

For certain and without rumor they will be issuing MC to all soldiers deploying to Afghanistan starting in July. Up until yesterday, the only words spread about MC within my unit were rumors about later dates. 2011 or 2012. Now I have a for sure answer and it's much earlier than expected.

I for one am glad I don't have to deploy with UCP's.

I'm glad they are switching to an effective form of camo. I wear ABU's which are very similar, and they don't blend into any damn thing. Wish they would have done it a long time ago. It could have saved a lot of lives.

Allowing trash talk is one thing, but having no standards is a whole new realm of screwed up.
