$20 is a lot of money but you also have to look at it from the business standpoint. They aren't open many hours of the week at all and they still have to pay full rent. So they probably won't be making money off this CQB place for a while. They also offer a membership for the year if you plan on going a lot. The membership is kind of high priced too though in my opinion lol. But I understand why it is like that.

As for fps limits, the link above says green is 330fps, yellow 350fps, and red 380fps (18yrs. +). I think it would be a lot less complicated if they just made it 330fps max though... How are they going to divide the field for people with 380fps and for people with 330fps? It's a thoughtful idea but I don't think it will stay like that.

$20 is fine but if it was all day it would be more reasonable.

I agree with armalite. Because they would still make money off the BB's they make you buy.

But that would also cost them more to keep it open that long. And with less hours it means that during those hours there will be more people playing at once than if it were open the entire day.

Hell yeah, I can't wait for it to open lol. I'm going to be a senior so I'll probably be there after school a lot. I just hope it opens before the 24th since that's when I start school again. I want to get a taste of it during summer :P

About the fps thing. When I went and talked to one of the guys there he said that the real small games were going to be 380fps while almost all if not all of the bigger games were going to be 330fps.

Ok i am an employee of V.I.P. so this is not just random speculation.

There is not an official opening day yet because we are still waiting on a few permits/ok's from the city of gilbert, fire department etc. As soon as we have an official opening date i will post it up here.

The new website has been posted so please refer to that. Everything that is posted on the new website vipairsoft.net is current. Everything else you guys have questions on, where the answers are not posted on the website, are still in the works and are not finalized yet so please hold tight.

Once everything is finalized i will post up rules/ opening date etc. up here and i will be able to answer your guys' questions.

If you have any suggestions or questions please pm me!

Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris, thanks for getting on here with the straight skinny.
Your website type color is too pale to see. I'm hoping to play there around six times a month. Saturdays and Sundays. Hopefully there'll be a core group of players at those times to make for a decent game.

Good luck with the field.

Place seems sweet. New website is awesome, though it'll be a lot more awesome once the other half of it is done being finalized :P. $20 for 4 hours equates to $5 an hour....pricey to say the least, in my opinion. Of course, I still wanna go at least once to see how I like it, but if I do end up liking it, that's gonna be a problematic continuing expense ><. I'd consider membership if it dropped the price dramatically, but you only get like $5 off admission with it, so eh. I still vote for a dedicated airsoft store and field in the Scottsdale area X). Hey, people there have money, so you'd think it would do well! Lol anyways, I'm sure Vanguard will be fun ^^.

Pricey? Yes. But they went all out on this field, so it should be worth it.

That's just about the same price for a game at Marauders, Fightertown, or Cow Town. But this is indoors, and is a lot closer for most people. You have to estimate the cost of gas into this equation also. Round trip to any of the places listed above is no 5 minute car ride down the street like Vanguard is, especially when we usaually go in either my brothers car (15 mpg on the highway) or worse, my truck (12 mpg on the highway). That's just the way I look at it. Sometimes we get lucky and can catch a ride with Chris ^^ and get some ridiculous gas mileage on the highway. The fact that it is 4 miles down the road is a big plus for me. I can drive my diesel whore down there for almost nothing, and have longer sustained game time because we are not being affected by the heat in the summer and cold in the winter. To me, this is one way to justify the price.

Don't get me wrong though, I love all the outdoor places too and I will still frequent them as well.
