3 new players in Surprise
« on: April 12, 2010, 10:39:55 AM »
Hello, three new players located in surprise area. I apologize ahead of time for typing this out on a cellphone.

We are very interested in airsoft and one of us has already ordered their rifle from evike. We are still trying to find out what are some good guns within the $150-200 range and some reputable websites to buy from.

We are all previously paintball players and are looking to do this for some fun and getting out there and enjoying the game. None of us have any real military gear although I am an ex army tanker.  [smilie=armata_pdt_06.gif]

We are all over 25. Please let me know any recommendations on guns such as if full metal is worth it or any other info or suggestions.

Thank you.

Full metal is worth it if you want to keep your gun a long time and upgrade it, it will be more durable and worth it for sure.

Echo 1 M4

You should head over to Gearbox Airsoft and give it a look.

SE corner of Southern and McClintock in Tempe.

It's far but you will learn a lot.

Make sure you know the laws about airsoft in Surprise.  If I remember correctly, I don't think you can discharge an airsoft replica anywhere within the city limits legally under any circumstance.

Make sure you know the laws about airsoft in Surprise.  If I remember correctly, i don't think you can discharge an airsoft replica anywhere within the city limits legally under any circumstance.

Sec. 34-73.  Restrictions on discharge, concealment and handling.
It is unlawful for any person within the limits of the city to fire or discharge:
(a)   Any firearm, BB gun, air gun, pellet gun, dart gun, slingshot, gas-operated gun, cross bow, blow gun, or other similar gun or instrument; or
(b)   Any arrow from a bow unless:
(1)   The discharge occurs on private property, with the consent of the owner, from a location no less than 125 feet from any property line, by an individual or under the supervision of an individual who is 18 years of age or older; or
(2)   The discharge is done by a government agent in furtherance of his or her official duties; or
(3)   The discharge is done pursuant to Title 13, Chapter 4, Arizona Revised Statute; or
(4)   The discharge occurs on non-residential property as part of a properly supervised range. Properly supervised range means any non-residential location operated by or immediately supervised by a governmental agency, public or private school, or an adult who is a member of a company, group, or affiliated with a recognized archery shooting organization.

Sec. 38-27.  Fireworks; fires; glass; weapons; violations.
(a)   Within a park and recreation area it shall be unlawful for any person to:
(1)   Have in their possession or set off any fireworks. Permits may be given by the fire marshal and director for conducting properly supervised fireworks in designated park and recreation areas.
(2)   Kindle, build, maintain or use a fire except in barbecue containers within a ramada. Any fire shall be continuously under the care and direction of a competent person from the time it is kindled until it is extinguished. No person shall throw away or discard any lighted match, cigar, cigarette, tobacco, paper or other material within or against any building, trashcan, boat or vehicle, or under any tree or in underbrush. The city manager may declare a fire emergency and prohibit all fires and/or smoking of tobacco products in one or more park and recreation areas.
(3)   Bring in or use any portable grill, unless subject to a permit issued by the city.
(4)   Throw, toss or otherwise propel or either willfully or maliciously or carelessly or negligently break any glass object.
(5)   Have a glass beverage container in his possession.
(6)   Bring any pistol or revolver or objects upon which loaded or blank cartridges may be used. Official starters, at authorized track and field events, are excepted from this restriction.
(7)   Bring any rifle, shotgun, BB gun, air gun, spring gun, slingshot, bow, or other weapon in which the propelling force is gunpowder, a spring or air.

right from the city ordinances.

KWA produces a great quality gun for a hefty price, and if it doesnt break down on you, it is deadly accurate for a stock out of the box AEG. Echo G36Cs are decent if you upgrade the barrel, bucking, and spacer. The mags are easiest to use, and require less prep than other mags. If you feel as though you want a sniper role, the Classic Army Ca-25, does a hell of a job, and doesn't require you pull back a bolt to fire a shot. For Cqb demonination, I'd say an AUG, for and overall range due to its m16 length barrel. The mags give you slight trouble with the feeding if you don't take care of em. As for your price range of $150-200, Classic Army, Echo 1, CYMA, Jing Jong, and G&G are all up your alley for decent performing guns around that price range. Don't forget to check out APD on Bell Rd, for AEGs, they pull pretty decent stuff.

make sure to do be aware of the city codes and do your recherches on what is city land and what isn't. there are some groups who will tell you the land is not city limits, state trust, or privet property. so that said just be smart about choosing a field to play at

it has been proven in history that for a group to survive its government must be over thrown from time to time. my fear is that this will come to our lands way to soon.
