I wouldn't worry too much about joining a team right now.

Instead focus more on getting out to some games and getting to know people in the airsoft community. Eventually you might find a cool group of guys who you'll airsoft with regularly.

Also, being that you're under eighteen, it might be difficult to find people or places that let you play.  Some organizers allow younger people people to participate if an adult takes responsibility for them.  It'll be really helpful if you can find and older airsofter who can vouch for you at games.

thanks for the advice lol ill try to get out to a few more games and it will be 4 years till im 18 so i think i can get in a lot of practice haha

the thing that REALLY gets me, is when i get to a supposed 18+ op and i see kids that look like they are 13 years old running around with no clue of what they are doing

Well if you live in the Peoria/Glendale area you can look us up at Peoria Airsoft. We do pick-up styled games as often as we can, which ranges from 1-3 games a month, and we are all under 18, minus the parent who is watching/playing with us (we don't go out by ourselves).
