Intro and question about rules : yo...
« on: April 20, 2010, 06:43:11 AM »
I have been looking around your airsoft forum and, i just cannot find anything stating your rules.
Like for example; Eye safety, rules on FPS, things of that nature.
Now i'm not from Arizona. I live in Denver Colorado but, plan on seeing some friends down there. I wanted to see if there was an organization that hosted weekly games as we do here at Airsoft Colorado. I see that on your start up page or whatever, it only says you guys ONLY play ONCE a month?? Anyways, please reply as i plan on being down there in may and, really hope to get a game goin. Another thing, do you guys get pretty good turn outs during your pickup games?
Thanks guys!

That is a basic FAQ.

There are plenty of games held by different groups on our RSVP section. Rules should be listed there when the game is posted, but typically 400fps w/.20s is the standard along with ANSI rated eyewear.

Word dude, that's what i figured since the same rules pertain to airsoft colorado. I just wanted to make sure of your ruleset before i get down there. Thanks for the reply man.
Another thing, how is the terrain you guys play on? since i know you live in the desert ha. like any trees? or is it pretty much flat desert scene?

Flagstaff has your trees.  There are parts sparingly where large packets of trees and snow will be in games, but for the most part, you're looking at hiding behind desert shrubbery and spread out desert trees.  It'd be pretty boring to have a game in all flat open terrain, so most sites have lots of vegetation to provide cover.

depends on where you play. :P
most of phoenix will be pretty flat with some light-medium scrub.
up here in prescott is forest with huge trees, hard cover, hills, and thick green shrubberies.
down in tucson can be a mix of the two.

So... whatever you want man, it's SOMEwhere in AZ...

Wel, except like beaches.

Alright cool, just wondering because in colorado we have the mountians and very difficult terrain.
so do you guys really only play once a month like the start up menu thing says?
And plus i'll be around phoenix, so if there are any place to play around there. Then lets get it goin.

Hes not being a smartass, he answered your question.

One thing your going to want to take into consideration is the temp change from what your use to. Its already broke 100 degrees here in AZ so you may have a harder time adjusting to our dry heat compared to your beautiful Colorado weather lol. As long as you have plenty of water you should be ok though.

Any idea when your going to be down here? It would help us pick out some games for you to look into.

like axis said, whatever terrain you are looking for AZ has it!

as far as mountains go...we live in the valley, i mean you know what that means right? haha.. four peaks and mt. ord are two examples of mountainous terrain. there are games all over down here, pickup games have a pretty good turnout depending where you are.

rebel union usually hosts games every weekend at their field, with a good turnout. check out the RSVP thread!
