You can always piece a decent outfit together from the forums if you look, both forest Bdus, tans Acus are floating around from what i've seen. I'd say go with desert Acu pants, dickies tan longsleeve workshirt, tan cap, snowboard goggles(spray paint them a light camo), saves you money and you're set for durability. If you move quick enough and strike hard doesnt really matter what you wear really.  [smilie=armata_pdt_07.gif]

it has been proven in history that for a group to survive its government must be over thrown from time to time. my fear is that this will come to our lands way to soon.

My opinion of Camo is ACU all the way. It seems to works best in Prescott, here in the valley, whether your in riverbeds or even out in a bunch of scrub brush.
We have a lot of bluish green trees and shrubs out here. Even though Phoenix is a desert, it's not a desolate desert. Its a very green desert compared to some.
Creosote, Palo verdes, etc. give a lot of cover. ACU blends very well not only due to its pattern but also its color. I have heard some speak down on ACU. The only
reason I chose ACU is because I wanted to have the best camo, other than getting a Ghillie suit, it works perfect.

I think Multicam and Digital Woodland are a close 2nd to ACU.
In my opinion, the desert patterns work well if you have sparse plant material and more rocks and sand than anything else. Obviously the brown in these patterns
blend with the ground especially in the summer where many of the plants and weeds are dead.

In the wintertime, Phoenix can have a lot of green weeds pop up and exposes the Desert patterns.
Even in the snow you can get away with ACU.....

By the way, if you are looking for some 3 color desert or woodland BDU's, I have some if you are looking to buy some...

I dunno, ACU is usually one of the first patterns I spot (second to the people who wear black, bright blue or pink), especially in the summer when everything's dieing.

Multicam is pretty green, and it blends in well to the surroundings, whether the desert is dead or green from rain.

Maybe the guys who you spot with ACU's move around too much then..... 8)

I like to completely cover myself with whichever camo I have on. Lots of guys

just show up in uniform. I think half the fun in the sport is becoming one with

the color you have on from head to toe, being as invisible as you can be.

Even going to the extreme of wrapping your gun and/or shoes with your specific

camo of choice.....

Dont get me wrong, I love ACUs but it seems to work the best when you dont cover yourself in the pattern, ie ACU pants and shirt w/ a tan or green plate carrier, chest rig, etc. Just my opinion though.

I personally run my desert MARPAT majority of the time. I have seen ACU blend in extremely well here in the valley, as well as up in Prescott. I would know because I was looking right at someone when they shot me #-o

The type of camo you wear is only going to do so much for you. If you are trying to hide but continue to fidget and jump around, or run at the wrong times you might as well have a neon sign floating above your head. A gillie suit will work incredibly well, if you are patient and know how to use it. Otherwise you will just look like Bigfoot running around.

A ghilie suit is a complete waste of money and time. Plus you'll sweat your a** off.

I totally agree, in the realm of airsoft, but I was just using it as an example really.

not necessarily.. steelworks has dedicated marksmen that employ this method of camouflage, and it is by far one of the most effective ones. if done right, you should be able to rack up numerous kills from cover, or by walking your team-mates to the enemy/around the enemy while still remaining under cover

of course, random players coming up and making conversation with a sniper/scout under cover does not help the effectiveness of the ghillie system at all. i have witnessed that shit happen first hand  :?

I agree I have used a ghillie suit on numerous occasions with great sucess. Yeah a player talking to a ghilie sniper don't help much lol.  But with marpat even just the upper peice helps a lot in the right area

oh yeah, i forgot to add that..

also, most people have AEG's that hit anything 400+ feet out, and if the person sniping them doesn't call hit then they are cheating  :?
