Personally i don't like the m14's But that being said it will probally be your best bet, the Semi-auto Sniper that i have also can't be built for under 250$

Echo1 Stag15 M8A3- 225$
510mm 6.03 TBB- 35$
Black side extender-40$
M150 Spring- 14.99$
Putting the spring in(cause i have no idea what i'm doing)-30$

in this configuration with full auto taken out i am putting out 515 on average with .20s

You can in truth turn any AEG into a "sniper" rifle but you also have to take into consideration that most places won't let them in. the other consideration is that depending on how high you tune the AEG the heavier the BB's that you will need to use. My gun can shoot .20's but they just fly all over the place with no accuracy what so ever. I wish you the best of luck

Except for the part where that gun won't be anywhere near DMR or Sniper accuracy...
and the part where you're going to need more parts than that to make that gearbox handle an m150 reliably for a decent amount of time...
That just might work.

This is True but accuracy wise with .28's I'm hitting my mark every time on a good day. as for the parts I've had it in for a few months and the worse problem i've ever had is a Jam. Of course i'm anal about my guns and are throughly cleaned after every game

About this stuff on how some places won't let me in, I really don't care. I have a big enough team to have fun ourselves, plus I'm not allowed to go to most events anyway cause I'm only 15 and alot of games I see are 18+

I'm surprised this thread hasn't gotten a G&G M14 endorsement from Whiskey11 yet.

Getting your gun to work the way you want it to is everyone's goal, I believe.
It's going to start following your wallet home from work sooner or later.

Haha m 14 endorsement?

He's usually on top of these threads recommending an m14 as much as I am usually on recommending version 2-based builds.

The g&g m14s are pretty solid.  There's someone selling one without the stock for $60 in he for sale section.  You could pick up an abs stock and rubber butt plate for about $110 on asgi.

Ask and you shall receive :P

G&G M14 Veteran... 350$ Full Metal Full wood, beefy gearbox and shoots 380 w/ .25's out of the box (For those counting thats like 415 w/ .20's)  A new hop up rubber and nub and they are tack drivers.  I ran mine stock  (Minus barrel hop up and nub) for about 125,000 rounds at stock levels before replacing the piston, and then another 20,000ish rounds with the new piston then I threw in Sorbothane and a new spring (Guarder SP 130)  Now shoots about 455 w/ .20's and is a real tackdriver at range.  Works great for me :)

To take an AR and get the same accuracy out of it as any of the M14 platforms would require some serious work.

Here is an excellent link on what to do to get an accurate DMR platform:

That thread actually contains quite a few interesting tips to improve air seal, which is good for any gun.  I've thought about converting my soc16 to a dmr piece by piece.  I need to sand down the finish on the wood stock though, and that will be... fun
