Everyone pretty much hit on good points about this field idea. But there's some things you have to do, to actually attract alot of airsofters, to make it worth making a new field. (I.e. first couple of games you host, are free!) Another good idea, would to get a couple people that have airsoft experience and have them try come up with a floor plan. Mis in alot of things, like imagine the terrain that we would most likely encounter overseas. A good idea, would be a small spot for CQC, as alot of airsofters love CQC, then there's those who like a bit of distance. Throw in some vehicles, trenches, and walls, and you're nearly complete!!

To those complaining about getting paint on your gear, simple fix!!!! Don't lean on the paint!!! Easy as jumping down stairs, you just don't jump down more than you can handle. For those who want to try flame me... Think... MilSim, you think people in combat are gonna complain about leaning on a wall with blood on it??

keep these in mind of/when building and looking for materials.

HOUSE BOADS; there like RV's but have 2 floors and alot of space,  if you get 2 or 3 of these across a field snipers and other roles will have better points of interest other than the engine compartments of the helo's and the skylights of the campers

SHIPPING CRATES; ive been playing at a paint ball/airsoft park in sandiego and they have a village made out of these, they are connected and make long hallways with doors and kill boxes.  there cheap as Sh!t to.

A CITY BUS:    one of these would be cool

some kinds of BUNKERS or PILL BOXES, hell!~ a tuff shed burred in dirt works

maybe a storage/ shipping box  one of those big ones that you would see on a freighter ship

take a google earth pic of the area your looking to build on and some of us could make notes of where things would work well and have useful strategic value

trenches, RV's,box trucks, kill houses, etc...everything already on the other fields

Good point. If your playing airsoft for looks walk around a mall with your gear like any other kid walking around the mall trying to look cool. If your here for the game then play it. Adapt and over come.

Have you never played at SASCO or something?  More often than not, it's covered in paint.  Maybe it's a lack of imagination on my part, but I have a hard time picturing a wall in Iraq/Afganistan/whatever, with as much blood on it as there is paint at SASCO.  Plus that's ignoring the obvious fact that we are still doing this for fun.  I mean, MilSim, I don't think people in combat are going to complain about me throwing bricks at you because I don't have any thing else handy but I think you might have a problem with me throwing bricks at you during a game.

I have an idea for a field that is designed like a residential street. So you have your cqb elements with the houses and then still field play with the distance across the street. You can add fences, windows, busted cars on the street maybe make the street turn so you can make back alleys? Just an idea for you

[House]  [House]  [House]  [House]                                               [House]  [House]  [House]  [House]
=============street=========                                                =========street==========

                                                                                               |       Back Alleys                 "    u

Neighborhood theme would be kind of cool, but I just don't see it as very practical, considering what he's got to offer as far as land and whatnot.
But another idea to maybe draw in some customers would be a raffle. You could sell raffle tickets and at the end of the day, host the raffle, giving away several smaller prizes and maybe one grand prize. Now, how often you do this would be entirely up to you, but I think it's pretty good motivation to spend a couple of extra bucks..

That would be pretty cool. I like the idea that some other people gave of putting a CQB area and then a Larger area, that way you attract both crowds :D . And vehicles! that would be pretty cool. The raffle that Spicoli mentioned sounds cool.
Anyway, it is all up to you

As for the hicaps thing, couple times a month throw a "Mil-Sim special" game where hicaps are banned. like every other saturday or something.

Just a suggestion, but getting a power washer with a gas engine and wheels and giving the structures/props a good washing down might alleviate the need for two separate fields.

And +1 on keeping minors and adults games separate.
