Everyone who has offered to donate - I appreciate it (maybe I'll work in a "donation" link down the road when it's *really* needed). I upgraded the bandwidth for the site, so we should have a little more breathing room now. Matt's working on cleaning up some space with the pictures as well (thanks again Matt!). I'll be working (over the next month) to make the entire site flow better. As it is right now, it almost seems like it is two different parts - (1) the forums and (2) the content. I will be phasing out the old "content" site layout and adding the pages to the heading on the forums, so everything is accessable from here. Normally, this is something I could get done in a couple days, but my company is moving to Scottsdale at the end of the month, and I am in charge of the move (and all the projects associated with it), so the next couple weeks will be busy for me, as it's not easy to coordinate a move and incurring no downtime with phones, web access, email, network, etc... in the process.
Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know that I am working on improving things, making it all more efficient and streamlined.
AA membership is now at around 100 people (nice, but remember that we had a "grandfather period" when about 1/3 of the people joined and weren't required to pay a membership fee since they were involved in AA well before we decided to do that). AA membership is a one-time (lifetime) fee of $20, for which you get access to the membership discounts (which should easily pay for itself with one order), an AirsoftArizona name tape, and a few other things. I constantly try to get us better (and more) deals with retailers, including drawings and giveaways (like the custom MP5 we gave away last year). Yearly membership fees/dues are something I am not willing to do. I run this site out of my enjoyment of airsoft, and even though I do run it all at a loss, I enjoy doing it. When I get some time, I will add the ability for people to donate to the organization. Rest assured that all funds received in the form of AA membership fees, donations, (etc) are used only to pay for costs associated with running this web site. Any "extra" funds will be put back into the organization in the form of drawings, or no-cost events hosted at pay-to-play locations like the Cajun House.
Anyway, just rambling now...
