The gun is reliable. The retailer is not.

I agree about Evike's service. Also agree with the gun being reliable. I'd buy it if I had the money. ICS is my next manufacturer to buy from to rape their gun

I've had relatively good luck with Evike the one time I used them. There was some complaints, but at least my stuff showed up, I had a tracking number, and their communication back to me was in a timely manner (not my preferred speed, but they did email me on Saturdays which I personally didn't expect). It's quite the gamble with Evike. Try them if you think you afford to lose the money. My gamble paid off, but I personally wouldn't have bought from them if I'd read about them prior to purchasing.

They're pretty hit or miss. Some people buy from them 10 or 20 or 30 times without any issues, and others such as myself have had major problems on almost every single purchase, and several minor problems with each purchase free of major problems.

ICS = makes good M4/M15/M16 type guns, and L85s... I would assume their other guns are just as reliable, but have no personal experience.

If you can, go with ICS. Very nice brand. Highly recommended.

Of my seven orders, only one of my orders had a problem - and they called me to inform me right away (the gun i wanted was out of stock).

Other than that, I've had really good luck with Evike.  It's cheap with a large selection, although ASGI gives you more coupons and stuff and they're very reliable.

I've only made one, and they were good with communication when I contacted them. Otherwise, I think I may have possibly gotten burned (due to some of the readings I've seen here). When I say burned, I mean this: I had a KWA G18 upper slide assembly on order (89 bucks), and it kept getting pushed back on their ETA for the warehouse. I emailed them and asked if it would be coming in soon (they may have an ETA from KWA directly), or if I would be able to change my order if they didn't have an official ETA (which their website's ETA seemed to be a speculation, nothing official).

They emailed me back, saying that I could change my order. They said nothing about the slide assembly, which got me a little curious. I changed my order, got some other things I needed, and it was promptly sent to me. I had documentation of what has happening (ie: status in the warehouse, shipping date, tracking number, etc.), and felt confident with it. I received my order on the estimated arrival date, and I've yet to order from them again.

Sorry if this does seem off topic, but I think it relates as info for the OP to see if he really would like to purchase from Evike or not. Even though we do have many threads related to Evike, I haven't found anything that states a recent transaction (within the past few months), or at least any that I've noticed. Sorry if any have been overlooked.

OP: As stated before, and from other posters here, ICS is a good mid-line manufacturer. I really like their products, and especially like their split gearbox versions (if you can find one, that is the way to go ihmo). I'd recommend finding a different place to get the gun, or any other equipment you plan on purchasing as well. But, the gun itself is quite a good one :)

I've ordered from evike a few times without any problem. But I suggest Airsoftgi since there are not as many complaints about them and the prices are very similar. Redwolfairsoft is the best in my opinion. Shipping is kind of pricey but you can't beat the service.

That looks like a good gun though. Great for cqb especially. I would recommend it if you like that style gun.

Ehobbyasia is my favorite, they have cheap prices, and before you say the shipping makes up for it, most of the time if it's not a rifle it's not even that much more than an American retailer. They also have a lot more stuff.

For a few bucks more you can get a KWA M4, SR 10, SR 5...whichever length works for you...

Its a top of the line brand. They make very consistent guns and are durable very reliable.

You may, though, want to order from Airsoft GI. They are more reliable and have better

customer service than Evike.

"Top of the line" is a relevant term they are more high end than some but equal to others. But I tend to agree that ASGI is a lot better than evike

Agreed. Saying KWA is top of the line is like saying the same about ICS. both are more often listed as mid-end guns on sites anyways lol. And, although my experience with ASGI is severely lacking (never purchased from them), I would bet they are realiable. Haven't heard more than a handful of bogus complaints about them ever.
