Hey (wow, I just woke up from today's after-game-nap), thanks everyone for coming out.

JAG-X is still new to the hosting scene, so there's lots of stuff we can do to improve our game, and we need your opinions and feedback to do it!

A very special thanks goes out to Kiley for helping us get reservations at this AO, and letting us use his chrono and radio in order to up our communications. Walkie Talkies no longer cut it at an AO like that.

Another very special thanks goes out to you guys who made the drive all the way out there to play with us. It's the players that make events like this possible, so thanks to all of you who showed up looking for a good time. I hope you found it while sneezing and trekking the hills of Santa Rita.

I know my team and I are dead beat. Especially the 40 minute death-hike that I took to find Alpha Team's very well hidden box- that completely ruined my day from then on out hehe.

plenty of good moments, lots of great teamwork and communication for the US forces. having "admins" walking around was a bit awkward, and the pavelow idea worked better then i expected

most players were promptly calling their hits which always makes the game more enjoyable

overall, i would say it was worth the six hour round trip :)

edit: jag had a photographer with him in civi's... blake, i think that was his name? he was with us for some of the action, any chance of getting some of the pics he snapped?

We always have photographers grabbing pics and videos from our events, which are usually hosted on our website.  Stay tuned for more info.

Agree with carbon 14c on all counts.  Was akward having an admin shadow us all day, especially when we wanted to remain shadows due to being high value targets (spec ops air controllers) and wish the maps that were provided had been a little better (52 Zulu provided us with some nice ones that helped coordinate US movement well).

All in all a good time, thanks for hosting.  I have some feedback on the event management style and scenario mechanics as well from and admin to admin perspective, let me know if you want that in PM or in an open forum for others to build on.

Thanks to all in keeping the AO nice, I don't think we even filled one whole bag with trash and we managed to fleece up a bunch that was there before any airsofter even put boots to ground. :)

Either or.  If you feel like the community can build on it, post it in forums by all means.

Here is something kind of cool. I wore my Garmin Foretrex for the game, mostly to keep track of time, position and altitude, but it records tracks down to the 2-3ft mark. Here is what half of special forces did throughout the first half of the day, the unit originally calculated movement at 6.5miles for the day but when i loaded it again it said 1.77, much closer to what we really did. The altitude for most of the day was between 5200 and 5400 ft.

For reference, the bottom of the map is the parking and staging area.

That is VERY cool!  I'm going to have to look into how to manage that same sort of data as it would be super useful of AARs.  Thank you for sharing!
