adults acting like children/ leaving airsoft
« on: August 15, 2010, 09:19:19 AM »
I came into this sport and automaticly I was verbaly assulted by some of these young guns. In my 3 months of playing I have noticed that half og the people 18 to 25 act just as bad as these children. It seriolsy worrys me. It seams we have a real problem in this world. The younger generation seems like they cannot own up to what they do. In the3 months or that I have been playing I've noticed this about a larg grop of players. Ya you may be old enough to drink but that doesn't mean a thing. These young adults lack responsability honesty and even though they say they hate drama there usualy the one's who start it. It hurts me to say this but because of you children and I'm not refering to the 13 to 18 group have completly ruined this sport. I never take sides unless the evidence is there I've done my reasherch. The people who I am talking about know who they are. So I say to this. Good job your just what the sport needs. Adults that act like wining children.

That felt like I was back in English class doing one of those "point out all the spelling and grammatical errors"  tests.

Enjoy whatever it is you will do next, Aerospace Engineer.

well, the group i associate myself with has none of the aforementioned problems..

then again, they are all very fluent and coherent in the way they utilize the english language to present themselves both online and off, on the field and off..

by presenting oneself in a mature and intelligent manner, one can avoid such people. aligning oneself with like-minded individuals of a higher-caliber maturity is an easy way to avoid the type of people you are describing..

feeding the trolls does not help either.. just a thought

Where do you meet these people you speak of? I have a whole big (and growing) group of friends I airsoft with and we all are honest and respectful of both the game and one another. If you're really having issues, find a core group of people to airsoft with and stick with that. I myself haven't had any issues, but I also haven't been to a public airsofting game yet either.

And so the degradation of the English language continues....well ironically said my friend.  :P

Its all about letting it roll off your back...If most of your friends are cool and don't have issues then the people who come out to you and carry drama with them will either leave on their own accord, or will develop a better attitude beacuse of your ability to relax and enjoy the game....Learn to choose your battles. You can't change the world. Thats the way life is. The sooner thats accepted the less engulfed with drama you will become....

A journalist asked a sniper what he feels when he shoots a terrorist.. "The recoil" shrugged the sniper.

Well you can just succumb to the immaturity by leaving, but you know...just leaving is child-like as well! You don't see professional athletes leaving because some others are being unsportsmanlike! That was an example and I'm not comparing professional athletes to airsofters because they're nothing alike!
Moving on; be the bigger player and kick some ass! Show up and know that you will piss others off when you do kick their asses! If someone is ticked enough to go an verbally assault you and try to prove something that they couldn't prove on the battlefield, then that's just saying that you've done a good job, and you are better than that jack hole!
Maybe whiners and immaturity is caused by insecurity and trying too damn hard to fit in and/or impress!  Maybe they're just pissed that they suck so damn bad! Sometimes the whiners whine because they've got away with it all their miserable lives without having someone there to slap some sense into them! I'll will let you all know that if you decide to approach me, star an attitude with me, I'll slap some sense into you and maybe even cram a period plug up your candy ass along with a glass of cranberry juice then send you on your merry way! Then again I have been known to be friendly at times!
Don't be tough guys, kids. It'll only get you hurt in more ways than one.

its great now that Ganaf proved that me and hendersen are different people, people have been acting completely different. Im taking a break from airsoft. Honestly it seams like %80 of the people in this community just try to one up people or make others look bad. I have seen more adults act like little high school students trying to burn every one who make a mistake or is different

I did not say I proved it. I merely said I believe that you are separate people. Either way this topic is finished being public. Both sides have gone to their corners and have been told to play nice.
