Mounting your gun
« on: August 19, 2010, 02:29:31 PM »
So I have a few guns that I want to hang on the wall of my house.

I've looked in Walmart, Ace Hardware, Target, Home Depot, all sorts of places for tool mounts, wall clothes hangers, rifle racks, etc.

But I can't seem to find one that will house my M4, let alone my M99 Barrett.

Any ideas?

Something to this effect:

Very nice and clean.  I see that this guy used a regular dry wall screw for the front, and a wooden stopper for the back.  The problem is my M4 is very wide.

This is good too, but it's too messy for my liking.  I don't want a huge rail across, just something nice and clean.

If you have sling mounts on your gun that fit some wall hooks, you could use wall mount hooks if you can space them properly for the studs in your walls. Or, using the studs in the wall, you could mount hooks, and use cheap 1- or 2-point slings to hang them up by. A different method might take a little more elaborate setup, so this was the simplest I could think of ;)

EDIT: The first picture you posted looks good too lol

I use mounts I bought at a swimming pool supply store. They were designed to hold life saving equipment like lifesavers and such, but work awesome for my gear. You can get them anodized or painted in any color.

A journalist asked a sniper what he feels when he shoots a terrorist.. "The recoil" shrugged the sniper.

You always use Thumbtacks or Duct tape like a redneck would?
