Big thanks to ICEMAN for writing this game. He spent too much time on this game for it to have had as many issues as it did. It was an incredible storyline that deserves much more attention than what people gave in this game. The objectives were fine and should not have been simpler. A well written objective game is what sets the standard of a different style of play from the typical capture the flag type games. Milsims like these are meant to add a realistic setting for all to experience what happens everyday around the world. YOU DON'T SEE SOLDIERS PLAYING CAPTURE THE FLAG DO YOU? Yes, capture the flag is a cool game, but it's also awesome to play a game witha deep storyline to follow. The PMC was a great 3rd option group. It may have been more interesting if the 2 other factions had done more 'hiring' of the PMC during the game, but that was up to the OLA and 82ND to do during the game. There was no glitch in the storyline for it at all. It was well thought and was something that kept eveyone guessing....
I had one friendly fire incident and that's it and it was due to a single miscommunication mishap. It was something that could have happened during a day game as well. Yes it's easier to see during the day, but if your team is well organized and the players are on the same pace and thought process, then friendly fire will not be an issue at all. We would love to have it during the day but the paintballers were there also and it was appreciative that we were able to play as early as we did with them all there.
Fightertown is working on getting an AIRSOFT ONLY field up, which will give the option of a large day game event without being a sunday game.
The problem I had out there was that there was way too much attitude out there from different types of people. It's like half the guys out there were all PMSing at the same time. Even before the game started, there was attitude of superiority etc. No wonder it's difficult to get these teams from around the valley to play together. It's like a bunch of kids who don't know how to play together. Why so much hostility? I'm not saying that everyone was like that but there was a portion out there who need to learn a few things. We were all out there for one purpose and that should have been to help make the event a success. It's not up to just the staff or the hosting team to keep order, but really it should be up to each individual to act like adults out there. When anybody wants to start any issues, then all it does is show much disrespect to whoever wrote the story, hosted the game, and supplied the field to play at.
Mike, Henry, and PSC, thanks for a great night and I hope next time all who show up to one of the games will be there to play and respect each other some more.
