This is a mission Idea based off a book I have been pecking away at since I arrived in Iraq. In ways it is like Call of Duty, but since there are so many unrealistic events about that war (I.E. How in heavens name do you get across the pond with a sizable enough force?), I do not claim any parallels.
This is all planning since I’m not in AZ long enough (or know far enough in advance) to plan anything good. If someone wants to take this and run with it, by all means do so. Feel free to post up other ideas, or PM me for the full mission brief.
Operation Giant Fall
Back Story:
July 11th, 2020. NORAD picks up a sizeable formation of unknown aircraft passing over the Bering Sea. Orders are passed down to Fort Richardson, Alaska to intercept and investigate. Reports flood back of bombers attacking Richardson, than all commutation is lost with the post.
July 12th, 2020. NORAD picks up two missile launches from the location surrounding Richardson. They plot the courses, and predict L.A. and New York will be hit. Instead, the missiles detonate 300 miles above the earth, causing an electrical blackout throughout all of Canada, as well as the United States and Mexico.
July 15th, 2020. Russian forces start an invasion of the United States. They are met with massive resistance, from both the U.S. Army, as well as private citizens. The Russians attack with tanks, air assets, and infantry.
July 30th, 2020. Russian forces have secured an area that covers from Montana to the Texas/Mexico Border. NATO nations start sending troops to assist the weakened U.S. Military.
August 10th, 2020. The Russians have captured the western United States, although it has cost them dearly. Special Operation groups arrive on the Eastern Seaboard. The Navy’s 7th fleet stations itself 500 miles off the West Coast.
August 13th, 2020. Present Day. The U.S. Army, with the aid of Germany, United Kingdom, and France, start a massive counter attack along the northern part of the Russian attack. If the attack is successful, the combined forces will be able to hold back the Russians long enough to land more forces, and reclaim the United States. If they fail, America will fall.

Quick Mission Brief
The objectives of each team will be close to the same. Depending on game location, games will include a form of capture the flags, Team Deathmatch, Search and destroy, and a few other ideas. I’m planning on having a Chain of command installed as well so it is easier to direct and control the men to complete the mission.
