Admission may seem expensive, but a cost breakdown will help explain the $50 admission:

$20 goes directly towards to Vanguard (they need to pay the rent, electricity, staff, etc).

The other $30 helps pay for expenses incurred: advertising, raffle prizes, props, and compensation to Marauders staff members for time spent writing script, organizing the event, working with Vanguard, running the event (safety, admission process, game control, etc...)

Admission includes 1000 bb's and a meal voucher (pizza and drink) (at least a $10 value) at the event. Players will also receive a raffle ticket.

If you ask other players  who have been to a Marauders Zombie adventure before whether or not this is a good value, many would tell you that our zombie adventures are some of the best events they've ever attended. Also, we have a standard policy that if you attend one of our events and you feel that it was not worth the admission, we will gladly refund your money.

I'd love to go, but $50 entry to an event is just waaaaayyyy too much for me. If the general prepaid admission was lowered to... Even $35, I'd definitely be in. Darn.  [smilie=armata_pdt_16.gif]

Fear farm and the Nest are about half the price and all you do is walk through a bunch of houses and have people jump at you....real fun right?....Wrong.

At this event you get prizes, food, AC (yes this makes a difference), and you get to SHOOT dozens of guys who are runing at you trying to rip you to pieces. Meanwhile your friend is yelling at you to save him because he just got his battle axe ripped away from him by another group of zombies. The thing is, you know that all you can do is hide while you hear the screams of your comrades who have foolishly spent their ammunition while get mauled to death by a pack of gouls. Oh, and I almost forgot the whole time your running away from a 10 ft tall beast and the thriller who would love to get their claws into you.

Then you walk off field, swap some war stories, and sit down to some food and great prizes.

PS.
Every event people whine "its too much money" well it was just X-mas and wheres your Annual Pass?

Ill be at this event for shure.

Agreed!

The last L4D in October was one of the best airsoft events I've participated in.  Very intense when your being swarmed, interesting tactics you have to utilize, melee is a blast to use, and also some great laughs.  It's honestly fun in itself as the civilian team to put away the AEGs and fight with shotguns/pistols/spring guns.

I did have a couple questions for MTT,  Last L4D there were some civilian players with LBVs and Vests, are they allowed on the civilian team as long as they are black in color?  My thinking is it could technically fit because "civilians" with vests could be police and other LEOs that survived.

Thanks for the question about vests for civilians.  These vests are authorized to help reduce the pain from close range shots if you become a zombie.

Again our staff wants to thank everyone for the feedback about our zombie games.

Registration for the event is now open at Gearbox Airsoft and will open at Vanguard this week.  A few free game admissions to Left for Dead will be raffled away at Black Hawk Down.

Our staff is looking for zombie volunteers for the game.  Volunteer zombies attend the event for free and earn a free admission to a future MTT event at the Urban Assault Course.  For more information about the zombie requirements, please send an email to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dY_eW-OqPW0

When will you post the names of the people who gained free admission from the last L4D game?

Thanks for the interest in the game.

Just to clarify a few points. This game is the same version that was played in October. The missions, props and rules will be very similar to the last adventure. The Left for Dead sequel (Zombieland) will be an overnight game played in the spring at the UAC. Players who survive(d) either Left for Dead adventure at Vanguard will receive a free admission to the Zombieland game.

Marauders Airsoft is hosting Left for Dead again as so many people enjoyed the game and quite a few who missed it expressed a desire to attend this adventure.

A few minor changes to the event have been planned. The biggest is an extra two hours of field time so that the event won't be so rushed. Our staff will also be coordinating an updated version of the Zombie Survival 101 based upon what was learned from the last L4D.

Registration for the event will be opened in the next week at Gearbox Airsoft and Vanguard Indoor Playground.

Sign me up, i'll stop by gearbox sometime next week. Although the only question i have is about the uniform. OD, would that be considered woodland or do you mean straight up OD uniform, Also the "tactical vests" do plate carriers and the sort count as a "tactical vest"?

Dang, that was quite the story. Was there REALLY a 10 foot tall beast? Cuz that'd be freakin' awesome. Seeing as just about everyone says these events rock, I'll see if I can possibly make it out there then. :)
