I will not be attending anymore. I broke my gun, a pistol mag, and vest playing with friends. Will hopefully be back in time for Zombieland/Terminator game.

Fun game. Even though the rangers got our asses kicked most of the time. I just think we werent do much of the stuff that we did during the 1st day of the training, i think alot of the rangers were.. afraid of getting shot in the buildings. But the feild was awsome, and buildings were pretty cool... But oh well, i got alot of kills and did pretty well for the most part.

Best part of the day was shooting a guy in his pecker, from a couple feet away...lol. he scared the hell out of me.. he deserved it. ;)

Worst part of the day was finding out we had nobody in our group to blow up the objective. We held the objective for so long.  :'(

(Sry, for spelling mistakes, and stuff like that, im on my phone so its a bit harder to type)

It was a good game, Rangers, I cannot emphasis enough, REAR SECURITY, while the thing in front of you is fun to shoot at, I personally ran up behind about 5-7 rangers and hosed them with the saw, Fun game though, Damn sun, Why can't god make days when we have events at the UAC cloudy :D

Thanks to everyone who came out to the final chapter of Operation: West Wing at the MTT Urban Assault Course on Saturday and Sunday.

We had close to 20 participants join us on Saturday for a series of Ranger training missions designed to help prepare the squads for the missions the next day.  These started at 10 am and continued until about 4 pm.  After a two hour dinner break, participants watched a live fire "contact" demonstration and had the opportunity to fire an AR - 15 or an AK-74.  We finished the day with 90 minutes of night missions in the main combat town.  The day ended at 11 pm around the camp fire.

On Sunday, players started arriving about 8 am and the safety briefing kicked off at 9:15.  Mission 1 started at 10:30 am.  Two squads of Rangers conducted recon missions trying to determine the location of SCUD missile platforms.  The Rangers observed a number of missile sites being set up south of the main town and set a plan into motion.  One team moved west to create a distraction while a smaller team inserted and moved within 50 feet of their objective.  The team was repelled by the Fedayeen and Mission 1 ended without the Rangers completing any of their objectives.  Mission 1 ended at 11:45 am.

Mision 2 began at 1 pm after an hour break.  The mission got off to a rough start as their was "Blind Man" call about 10 minutes into the mission as a player had a tooth broken. ***NOTE:  The player was about shot about 75 feet away with an AEG chronoing between 304 - 325 FPS with .25 bb's.  The player was not wearing mouth protection. *** After staff got the player off of the field for evaluation, the game was restarted.  During mission 2, the Rangers were able to secure 1 SCUD missile site in the small west town.  This victory was short lived as the Fedayeen wounded and captured all of the Rangers during the mission.

The final mission forced the Rangers to conduct a rescue attempt of their fellow soldiers from a large school.  The Fedayeen were able to repel the attack as the battle came to an end.

Our staff would like to thank our sponsors, Gearbox Airsoft and Command Post for supporting the event and helping grow the sport.

Please feel free to send your comments or concerns to MTTStaff@gmail.com

We are looking forward to our next big event, Zombieland and Terminator Prophecies on April 30 and May 1.

Registration for these events is now open at our sponsor locations.

Myself and the other dc-ops members had a good time during the training missions on Sat. The missions were setup very well and the day went seamlessly due to Mike's excellent planning.

However, I am very dissapointed with the safety breaches committed throughout the day (a lot of blind fire) especially after Mike went over this stuff thoroughly.

Winning is important, but it's not everything. You take away everyone else's fun when you violate the rules. So think about that first next time before you do something stupid.

Also, it's sounds like what happened on Saturday was the same that happened on Sunday. People got stagnant and just planted their feet instead of moving up to obtain objectives. Always being on the move is important and if the original plan fails, make a new one fast.

This was the first time attending a game hosted by MTT. Sat was a fun day of light training, Sunday my legs were on fire, but I managed to get through the first mission. Had to leave early but the game was well thought out and more professionally handled than Ive experienced in my six months of airsofting. I will be attending more of your games and also your training courses. Thanks Mike and all of the MTT staff for the experience.

NOTE-Some of you who attended were not calling hits (and since its not professional to for me to call out your hits on the field, I say this). This is a game of honor, if you want to play a game based on the military, pick up on some other aspects of it like honor.   [smilie=armata_pdt_06.gif]

The game was a blast, we just needed more Rangers to blast on..

Lotsa New Guys there. You dudes just need to get more aggressive, that's all. We (the OPFOR) were waiting for a good shootout, but long periods of "No Man's Land" only gave us a sunburn, not a battle.

That said, a couple Rangers blasted the crap out of several of us who were caught looking the other way. I dug the large cajones that caused two of you rushing the Cow Building with five of us lulled by the wait for the mass assault. Yeah, baby.

Don't be afraid to get shot. It's part of the game sometimes. Hell, if it didn't hurt toget hit, we'd be playing freakin'  Laser Tag,,, ZZZzzzzzzz.......

I think it's less that the newer players are afraid of getting shot up (although that could be a factor as well) and more of a kill/death ratio deal. The new generation of our younger players are from the COD generation and the only thing that matters when playing those types of games is how many ppl you killed, compared to how many times you were killed. Winning the mission as a whole and applying good teamwork/tactics to do so is not very important in that setting.

The sooner they understand that putting the objectives over their own personal goals is the most important thing, the sooner they will become better airsofters.

Thanks for the great training, rifle shooting, and scenario MTT!

Hmm lots of hate on us younger players! But that's understandable I guess--- I wont deny we are a little less experienced   [smilie=armata_pdt_04.gif]
Personally my gun just can't reach out as far as some of you guys who earn big paychecks and are able to put $200-$300 into your guns while I only work a shift or two a week at minumum wage.

Oh and just saying, I was the first to discover the scud missiles at Tango, the last one alive guarding it, and the only Ranger to be captured at Tango  :D/

Dude, there's no "hating" here. (Stupid new phrase) You need to improve your skills just like all the rest of us did to get good at this game. Takes time, and won't happen overnight.

I use a UMP with a ..what, maybe 5inch barrel? Shoots at 345 and hits anything I AIM at. Know what your weapon's effective distance is and work with that. The field rule of 375fps kept out the nastier sniper rifles, so your point is moot.

Finally, this is a hobby that costs money.. -Not that much, as hobbies go, but you need a car to get to the game, food, gas, all that.. And the gun and ammo shouldn't be a cheapie from Wal-Mart, 200.00 will get you a decent aeg new, or get it used from the AA buy and sell.

Kids, play as much as you can, get better, work at it.

mike put on a great event but like many of the other more experienced players i noticed a lot of faults in the new players that even after being read the rules via a thorough and lengthy safety briefing i was disappointed to see lots of blind fire...also as previously mentioned it seemed the COD crowd was out in full effect...after one round we had a kid, couldnt have been more than 17 come up to a member of the dc ops squad with im a part of and start talking crap to him to his face about how he flanked us and how we need to do better next time...u really shouldnt mouth off to a person who has probably been playing longer than youve been alive...its not professional at all and only makes the one running his mouth look like a fool...discuss how you got the drop on them congratulate them on a good game no matter the outcome as everybody does their best at each game...
