Red Storm II (O.L.C.M.S.S)
« on: January 19, 2011, 07:17:07 PM »
For those of you that don't know, there is another Red Storm at the former Fred C. Nelles Youth Correctional Facility in Whittier, California -- March 18-20, 2011.

To "enlist" go to Lion Claws Main and choose the Red Storm icon [in California].

Realize that this is a large scale MOUT* event and it is recommended that you register as part of a team of 2 or more.  Cost is $200 for 1st-timers and $175 for Lion Claw alumni.  Even better, it is $150 for LC Red Storm alumni.  Last years enlistment was about 160.  This year is supposed to be even bigger.

This is NOT an RSVP thread, but you do need to "RSVP" to Lion Claws Main to "enlist".  Check out the LCOP Series Event Galleries for photos of previous events, including Red Storm I.

You might be asking yourself, "Is it worth it?"
Answer: Hell Yeah!

Just to clarify, some folks may be able to swing enlistment with 2 but the recommendation is 6.

Only groups/teams of 6 or more may register for this event! This is a group/team event only!

DH will be trying to field a group for this on the Renegade side.  Let me know if your serious about it and maybe we can pool bodies and travel resources.

Saw some pics and video from the last one and it looks like a blast and I'd love to go, but finding the time to get out there seems to be the issue for me anyway.

I was planning on going to lions claw later this year. If there's a group that wouldn't mind picking up another person, send me a pm.

Ignore any ranting about 6+ people sign ups, LC staff clarified in an email...

OP RED STORM....there was an error on the Reg. Page but fixed.  Yes, INDIVIDUALS can register without a Six-Man Team (that's for Group Registration only).

I think there is a solid core of guys from Phoenix going at USFOR and a few of the DH guys plan on going as RENEGADES.  I'll post more on what the DH folks are doing room/carpool wise as we confirm plans.

MAR.  If you want to sign up for Red Storm, please kindly registger and PAY IN FULL no later than next Wed., we have to wrap. We're close to 250 at the moment. Need more men on US side....or Rojo is gonna cream them SF boys!! (need more Marines !!!).

US now has three "little birds" (jeeps), and a "C-130" (truck) as par tof yoru Mobile Air Command.

Renegade has a "Jolly Green Giant" (M3 Scout Car with a crew of 9).

Yes, vehicles!?

DH and some other Tucson folks are fielding about 1/2 a dozen on renegade side.  CT and some other Valley folks are fielding a dozen plus on the USFOR side.  You still have a chance to get in now if you act fast.

Most of us are leaving Friday morning.

...and FYI - this is a good place to stay if you want to avoid "sleeping outdoors", right next to some very busy streets.

BGA has a group going on the US side. The Howard Johnson worked well for us last year, although it seemed like a teenage hot spot for a hotel party or two! ha I'm looking forward to this year, see you guys there!
