I love it to death.
The receiver is one solid piece of metal that you can't really break. There just aren't any weak spots on it.
The polymer on this piece is excellent. No creaks no cast marks and doesn't even bend! Everything fits flush with no creaks or wobbles.
The Masada utilizes a v2 gearbox thats just like the ones you find on the m4a1 series whereas the motor is separate inside the grip.
The only bad thing is that if you strip the retaining screws on the motor plate, you're screwed (no pun) unless you re-tap it for a bigger size.
No quick change spring feature on the gearbox like the PTS one and no motor cage design like the PTS one.
If you really really really want the quick change feature, this will set you back $30 dollars, but more than worth it:
http://www.px-airsoft.com/showroom/mode ... 8265008819(I think it is the STAR/ARES design mainly from the microswitch and the Quick Change feature) Should be able to work with no problems on the A&K since it is a standard v2.
Dayton,
I just looked at the ARMS magazine again, and it doesn't really show much detail. I'll try to post up more detailed pictures when I get my hands on them.
But from my up close observations, it would seem that all you have to do is change the QD ring and you're golden. But that is only if the barrel specs are exactly the same. (even then, you have to worry about the hopup, since PTS utilizes their own proprietary hop assembly thats unique to the system).
PLEASE! IF YOU SEE SOMEONE WITH A LONG BARREL SET! LET THEM KNOW THAT THERE IS SOMEONE HERE THAT WOULD LOVE TO BUY IT.
If you do happen to get the A&K, sell me the 14 inch front set please
