Disclaimer: IF a mock suppressor DID suppress noise more than 1dB relative to ambient noise level, it is technically illegal without an NFA items stamp.

That being said, some help slightly. They muffle more than silence or suppress. So instead of a sharp 'pop' every time you fire, it sounds a little lower pitched and 'thud'-like.

If you bring flash/stun grenades that DO work, I would like to be able to bring real steel to level the playing field. That's the deal IMO. The things DO work in real life... that's why they exist. I haven't seen one deployed in airsoft. They are dangerous, as in can cause hearing and vision damage, as well as start fires if used improperly.

There are some training f/b grenades that are sold. Not as loud and the flash isn't as bright. Using things like that thought might make you a bit hated.

Giving us a link to the actual product in question might be helpful.

If this is what he is talking about, i don't think it would be too bad. Ive been hit by training flash bangs before. They aren't as bad as the real ones, but still enough to give a slight jolt.

I'd suggest getting the Thunder B. The player package is $33 (total of 13 shells). You just need to get 12g Co2 cartridges, and possibly have to put a penny at the bottom of the cylinder the cartridge goes into, so the needle pierces the top of the cartridge every time. Test your grenade before you do so, as my friends may have been a defective one. If you put the penny in first, and yours didn't need it, you may not be able to pull it out.

It's a damn good grenade, too. Definitely gets peoples attention, and will scare you, if you're not expecting it. This warning is one my friend learned: warn people before the game what it is, and to not pick it up, until after it's gone off, or they might have to change their pants.
