What Fields Allow AK-47 Box Magazines?
« on: February 21, 2011, 10:00:54 PM »
I was just wondering what fields in Arizona accept box magazines in a standard AK-47? I just watched gameplay and one was being used at Desert Fox Fields in California.

Rebel Union doesn't have any magazine type restrictions. Lately we have been playing at Fort Adobe.

Just check the game postings. I've used one at a rebel union barbecue at fightertown. Some games will let you use them and others will not.

So I'm guessing that means that Fort Adobe has no magazine limits then?

A Box mag is a standard thing on M249's. Not so with an AK.

So, You can put a Beta C mag on any m-16 or M4.  What about a RPD, its just a AK with a longer barrel, and a box mag.

I used my g3 with a homeade box mag there, I dont think they'll have a problem with an ak with a drum mag.

you must be thinking of the RPK, the RPD is a box fed weapon like the M249, the RPK is very similar to an AK and runs a drum mag. And alot of games dont allow beta Cs because they arent considered a true support weapon, its just an assault rifle with a auto winding mag.

You can't stick an M4 mag in a 249 and expect it to work. a 249 is a belt fed weapon. It's not the same.
