What I was getting at earlier is that it is normal for a M249 to have a box mag as it is a Belt fed weapon utilizing a box or cloth magazine to hold the belt of linked ammo. No so with a standard AK.

I never really got why people have such an issue with folks having drum mags on an AK.  I loved the one I had.  

The one with a button to wind work much better than the ones that did it on auto.  Wish I hadnt sold mine, might have to find another one.
