Final op orders will be up tomorrow, sorry for the delay.

For now, focus on getting your guns and gear ready for Saturday!
Russians, your going to need those radios.

When: May 14th 2011
Where: SASCO AO
Arrival 7:00am at the ruins, please try to part in an orderly fashion to allow for everyone to have a chance to park.

Chrono 7:30 SHARP! Seriously, we are recording who cronos, if you don't, or dawdle and don't show on time, too bad.

Game: 8:00 Primary briefing for both teams
8:15 Split off into team bases
           8:20 Individual team briefings
           8:25-8:30 Scenario starts!

Main game will consist of 4 stages, and will last 3-4 hours, I can go longer, but I will need to see what condition everyone is in.
Bring pistols and sidearms for a possible game afterwards.

FPS and MED regs
A few good points:
First, the main rules:
Taken from TAC

Quote from: "TucsonAirsoftCoalition"
"1. AT ALL TIMES, ALL AIRSOFT WEAPONS MUST BE TREATED AS IF THEY ARE REAL FIREARMS. When in a staging area, magazines must be removed from the weapon(s), and the operator must insure there are no rounds in the chambers. Weapons should not be pointed at individuals except during game play.

2. All weapons are are required to be chronographed and observe a maximum fps limit.  For normal field games (CQB will differ) the limits are as follows:
2.1 All AEGs not covered further below must be at or under 376 fps with a .25g BB (420 w/ .20g).
2.2 All Sniper rifles* must be at or under 460 fps with a .36g BB (617 w/ .20g) and must observe a 75 foot MED (Minimum Engagement Distance) as well as have automatic firing abilities mechanically disabled.
2.3 All SAW Weapons** must be at or under 400 fps with a .25g BB (445 w/ .20g).
*Sniper rifles must be semi automatic or bolt action rifles with a stock and barrel length over 33 inches.  Violating the semi automatic fire or MED rules with a weapon in this range will result in aggressive disciplinary action.
**SAW Weapons are faithful recreations of belt or box fed firearms qualify as SAWs. This includes (but is not limited to) the M60, M249, MG42, RPD, Shrike, and similar models. NO MP5's, M-16s, or non SAW weapons with a drum magazine are recognized as SAWs and as such must follow the AEG rules.

2A. Blind fire is prohibited at TAC games due to the injury dangers it creates, players observed repeatedly doing so will be asked to leave and may face disciplinary action.  Blind fire is when you are behind an obstacle and hang the barrel of your gun over the side or top and blindly fire without knowing where your target is or the distance he is at.  A good rule of thumb is to only shoot what/who you can see with your own two eyes."

A few further points for STALKER:
1. Notes on SASCO Bunker
- When entering the SASCO bunker, caution is required to prevent injury, all weapons that fall into the AEG catagory must be set to semi, when engaging in the SASCO bunker.
Snipers may not be used in the bunker
*"SNIPERS" Bring a secondary, you will need it.
-Drink water

MORE to come.

-Grenades
-no inert or disarmed grenades
-10ft kill radius from the point where it stops rolling, within line of sight. IE, blast ends at walls and cover.

-Drink water

-Rockets

Ran one more recon out to the river last night.  It has come up a little bit.  I'd say it was 3 to 4 inches deep on Tuesday and 6 inches deep today.  Tuesday it didn't even wet my hub caps, but this time it actually registered on my hub caps but did not reach the axles.  I have seen cars make it through deeper then this but each driver should gauge their own comfort level.  Remember if you try to cross to take it slow, we can pull you out of the sand if you get hung up but we can't fix your engine if your intake swallows a few gallons from baja'ing through it.  If it looks too deep, park in the dirt and see if you can catch some space in a pickup coming through or walk in the last 1.5 miles.

Keep in mind that the level is volatile to irrigation activity in the area and precipitation up stream.  Just because I did a recon yesterday does not mean that is guaranteed to be what you see Saturday morning.

Here is a photo of what I saw (Yes those are my rut marks you can see in the water).

This concludes your friendly neighborhood LRRP.

Thanks all, had a good time.  I'll submit my admin feedback direct to Staff on game mechanics etc.  It needs some work but not bad at all for a first time event for a green staff.

Only things I wanted to call out here was that sportsmanship was good.  Really the only exception I saw from the russian side was one stalker unit who would not call hits even when I stitched them up at 30 feet.  Do folks really think that its not a hit unless unless I hit you with a full magazine?  I hope those guys feel the welts because it took 2 mags to get 3 of them before I got shot.  Aside from that one incident all the stalkers were good sports, thank you!

My biggest complaints are the stalkers getting a head start (admin goof), a stalker team moving behind the pylons during the blindman call (shit happens) and the reaction some of the russian players had to that by quitting, throwing a fit, complaining, and spending 20+ min breaks at the spawn.  Of those 3 things the only one we as players had direct control over was the attitudes.  There were 3 separate occasions I had to ask Russian players to pack their shit and go to the carshome because they were lolligagging at the spawn point.  My train of thought is simple, "shit happens, suck it up and make the best of it" and I thank all the russian players who did just that.

Look forward to the next iteration with more polish and perhaps more admin staff.

Yes, and no. You are charging the battery at almost 2C, which is generally very discouraged, because you shorten the battery's overall lifespan (unless the battery is designed for high charge/discharge rates, like LiMn batteries. Some are up to 8C charge rate, and 10C discharge). Unless the battery says it can be charged at 2C, I would look into getting another charger, like the ImaxB6AC. I have one, and I love it! Up to 50W charge rate (5 amp max, in increments of 100mA), and 5W discharge (max of 1A discharge). The nice thing is that the B6AC comes with an AC cord, and leads to clip to the wiring on your car battery (clip leads are too small  to hook straight up to most car batteries).

It was fun, and for a first-time scenario, pretty good.
Next time, ~everyone bring radios!~ We had a additional target on the Stalker side, and if you didn't have comm, you were SOL.

The Tucson guys are laid back, easy to play against. Don't get me wrong, they are tactical, but it's a different crowd than the players in the Valley. I like these folks.

Next STALKER a night game, right?
